Dh is all about taking the kiddos to the World but has freaked at the pricing. But we were able to talk about it last night at dinner and he was actually asking questions (in a non defensive way) and making suggestions. I think he is coming around. I want to stay on property and really experience a Disney vacation and he hasn't been so sure yet. But when he said he would like to get up and hit the parks early, I was able to tell him about EMH. I also added the benefit of being able to go back to the resort for naps. He asked then about being able to get back into the parks. I explained park hoppers ;). I think he might be seeing the advantages now. :cool1:

Tell him about the free dining promotion and all the money you could save. That may help to "sway" him.

Also keep in mind that you need to stay on Disney property to take advantage of EMH and also, even without park hoppers, you can re-enter the same park in the same day if you take a nap break. Two great arguments for staying on-site.

Good Luck - I hope you win this one. Please let us know how it goes!

I don't know if you have the Disney Visa card, but I do, and i just got this promotion from them:

This 5 night, 6 day Magic Your Way Package includes Walt Disney World® Resort hotel accommodations, Walt Disney World® Theme Park tickets and the Disney Dining Plan which provides one quick service meal, a select snack and one meal at a table service restaurant per person, per night of your package. Excludes gratuities and alcoholic beverages. Children ages 3-9 must choose from children's menu, if available. Choose from over 100 select Disney restaurants, including Disney character dining. Take advantage of this offer before it becomes available to the general public on April 10, 2008.

• Magic Your Way Base Ticket – Admission to one Theme Park per day, each day of your ticket.

• Disney's Magical Express Service – Let us take your family and your luggage – as a complimentary service – to and from Orlando International Airport and your Disney Resort hotel.

• Extra Magic Hours Benefit – You and your family can take advantage of extra time in a Disney Theme Park each day to enjoy select attractions. (Valid Theme Park admission required.)

• Guest Transportation – Complimentary, convenient transportation takes your family from your Disney Resort hotel to all four Disney Theme Parks and more – throughout the day!

Also, the hotel is discribed as a Select Disney Deluxe Villa Resort with home-like amenities.

Sounds pretty good... it will just be hot then.

Give him a nice stiff drink, then he will talk to you for sure! lol. My husband doesnt drink a lot but on occasion when he does I know that is the time to start bringing things up because he will listen & agree to things much more easily or wait until he is in a really really good mood.

DH's always seem to be the most hesitant!!!
Remember we are ruled by our emotions first and if WDW isn't an emotional experience each and every time you must not have a heart!!!!:confused3 I cry at the drop of a hat the entire time we are there!!!!
If you've got the kids on board, trust me, he will eventually come around! It was my husband's idea this time around, but when I started quoting prices he did a 360!:scared1: He finally came around again after we got a great quote from a TA(that's another story-PM if you want her name and number!!:surfweb: )and the kids(DD9 and DD3-first trip)kept asking him if we were going to see MM!!! our DS loves MM! Just had a MM 3rd birthday party!!! Things seem to work out in the end!!! You just have to be patient!!! We have the fortune of using the stimulus check and a bonus I will get at the end of this school year to pay for our trip so nothing will be charged!!! I think you have a better time if you're not having to pay for the trip after its over!!!:yay:
Here's some pixie dust for luck!!!!pixiedust:

3 things come to mind:

Really talk up the free transportations system and the fact that you get dropped off right in front of each park (by bus). No schlepping through parking lots!!!

Depending on how old your kids are, you could go with the "The kids are only young once..." tactic. :rotfl:

Have you ordered the free Disney planning DVD? That will surely convince him! ;)

Free dining isn't an option as that is right when school starts for us.

The trip will only happen if it's paid for and not charged. We have gotten in trouble like that already ;).

I have ordered the dvd but we haven't watched it. Maybe I'll get him to watch it with me this weekend (w/o the kiddos).
