Thats SO COOL!! What paper piecings have you done? I havent done many only because I cant get the feel of them, SO MUCH WORK!! I have made the Train Station at the MK, Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Jessie's pants, tombstones for the HM, etc..
Glad to meet a fellow teacher:)

Also, I think your pic of the marine coming home is so moving. What a moment for you!

The greatest moment of my LIFE!!!!!

I've done Buzz Lightyear (he's a stinker to do), Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Pooh, Tigger, Dumbo, Pirate Mickey, Christmas Mickey, Vacation Mickey, Silly Mickey, Mickey and Minnie (The End), Tinkerbell, Peter Pan, and probably more that I just can't think of off the top of my head.

...here's a few more:

Chef Mickey, Animal Kingdom Minnie, Movie Director Mickey, Tired Mickey, Chip and Dale, and a cute 2005 Character Title.

Thats awesome!! We should trade some time, it would be neat to see others ideas!! Do you like to paper piece? I have a hard time with it! Do you use coloring books or make your own?

I use coloring books and sometimes coloring pages that I find on the internet.

I have LOTS of patterns, so if you're in need of something let me know and I'll make you a copy.

It's time consuming, but not hard. Kind of like building a puzzle. On these cold winter days, I spend MANY a lunch hour in the break room (at my REAL job), working on my paper piecings.

Maybe you can give me some pointers about using the piecings? At least I think that's what I need.

I got DD some things to scrap her Disney pix for Christmas. I found some really cute Disney sticker packs at Michael's - Mickey, Ariel, Jasmine. e.g Jasmine's pack has a hair piece(tiara?), her diaphanous knickers, slippers, a lamp...stuff like that. When you put it all together, it doesn't make the entire character. Any ideas on how to use that on a page?

If that's not enough info, I'll re-post the question after she unwraps her stuff on Saturday - since it's already wrapped & I can't check. ;)

Thanks!

I would punch one inch squares of the colors in your stickers or pics and place inside the squares the tiara, and then another one of her slippers, and so on...
Also these make great borders as well!
Hope it helps!

Cool! Thanks for the idea! I never would have thought of doing that. In fact, I only bought them because they're cute...I had no idea how to help her use them. ;)

How about making a tag with the embellishments? Here's an example that I love on 2peas. Snow White Jolees It's not Jasmine, but it should give you an idea on how to use those stickers.

That LO is so cute! I appreciate the ideas you're giving me! I'm hoping that DD is better at scrapping than I am. :( I don't want to put anything on paper until I'm sure it's "perfect" & as soon as I put it down I think of something better....or worse, the next day I think of something different when the tape won't allow repositioning anymore. It's an annoying personality quirk.

I live in Indiana too (Indianapolis) and did a double take when I read your son's name!!!

Is it just coincidence or are you guys big IU fans? (I hope that doesn't sound like a crazy idea!) I'm sure it is interesting for him if he grew up in IN!

Thanks for allowing him to protect us!

Diane, your Snow White layout is beautiful & full of wonderful ideas! Thank you for sharing.

Oh, Judith... that one's not mine!! Although I did "scrap-lift" the tag... LOL!!!

I thought of another question...smt218's question about Mary Poppins reminded me. :)

I've read that people use coloring book pages when making paper piecings - I [Ithink![/I] How do you go about this?
