more and more! I just put two and two together and wonder if its the shampoo??? I was using more expensive stuff before

Maybe??

Suave makes my face and scalp break out in hives, resulting in the nastiest dandruff I've ever had in my life. :headache:

Are you seeing bald spots? If not, you may just be noticing how much you actually shed.

I'm not a doctor, and I don't play one on the interwebs....

but

I would say to stop using it.

Yes!!

It has not happened to me personally, but I've heard that about Suave shampoo from many people. My stylist has told me to never, under any circumstances, to use Suave.

It's happened to me as well, and stopped pretty much as soon as I stopped using the Suave. definitely don't use it anymore.

I'm an ex hairstylist. I've used Suave for close to 25 years....I still have all my hair, works no better no worse than any others shampoos.

To the OP, you really should see a doctor. There are so many things that can cause hair loss. Stress, diet, and allergies. Maybe you are allergic to something in the shampoo...but if that is the case you need to find out what it is so you can avoid it in other shampoos.

My hair hasn't fallen out from Suave, but I believe there are some things that you get what you pay for. Suave for me is the pits. My hair looks terrible when I use it, plus it is always very dry no matter what variety of Suave I use.

You should really see your doctor and not assume it's the shampoo.

Yes, this could be a symptom of something much more serious than cheap shampoo.

You may want to consider if you've had any reason for your hormones to fluctuate greatly in the last few weeks. (For instance, did you recently have a baby, or go through "the change"?)

If you are losing large amounts of hair you should see a doctor. Don't assume it is your shampoo. It could be dehydration, change in hormones or many other things. Make sure you are drinking enough water and call your doctor first thing Monday morning.

You know, you probably should stop using and call the doctor. My daughter, who is allergic to latex, cannot use Suave. We aren't sure why, but think it has something to do with the packaging.

Still, it's better to call the doctor. It could be something other than the shampoo.

I've never had any problems with Suave......I would call your dr ASAP! Good luck!

Suave is the ONLY shampoo I use on my hair anymore. I used to use the higher end products from the salons and they did nothign for my hair. I started buying PAntene at the store and that was a disaster. When I switched to Suave, I got my shine back and my hair always feels and looks healthy.

I started losing my hair last summer in large clumps. It wasn't the shampoo. I have a hormone imbalance as well as some other things going on. My suggestion would be to call the Dr. ASAP.

I would agree about seeing a doctor if that much hair is falling out. I had recently switched shampoos to the new pantene pro-v medium thick one and noticed more hair falling out so I went to the Dr. and it turns out I am semsitive to one of the ingredients in that shampoo. So now that we know I an stay away from it and my hair has not been falling out anymore than normal. I am just thankful I caught it before it got to bad, like bald spots.

How did the Dr figure this out? Do they do allergy tests on your scalp? I'm not trying to be snarky, I'm really wondering. My Aunt has an appointment with her Dr next week because she's losing hair in clumps too. Did it grow back?

My hair was slowly changing texture from stick straight to dry & wavy. The it started falling out. I thought it was just because I was getting older. Then, about a month ago, I find out I have hypothyroidism. One of the symptoms is change in hair texture and/or falling out. :headache:

I am a hair stylist and my advice is a break down
1 a person normally sheds up to 90+ hairs a day if your hair is longer that is going to look like more in the drain
2 if you see bald circle spots or feel like it is coming out in excess see a doctor they can do more tests
3 simple change shampoo but keep the other one to compare ing. The first four are core ing so look for a brand that doesn't have the same ones
4 sulfite free shampoos are a safe bet but again I always stick with prof. Brand if you buy from a salon they are usually willing to give you your money back if something doesn't work for you so work with your stylist it's worth the extra few $$
5 a diet rich in omega 3 is good as well as lots of water
6 STAY AWAY FROM FLAT IRONS ON A REGULAR BASIS they can be the devil
Good luck
Oh forgot stay away from tuna in high amount mercury will make your hair fall out

there are medical causes like throid problems, anemia and alopecia (which can develop at any time) that can cause hair to fall out. These have nothing to do with brand of shampoo. I would call the dr.
