what are my options again? I booked a one way ticket on Delta thru Orbitz, and my non stop flight now has a layover. Not a big deal, but it is only a 37 minute layover. Tighter than I want to attempt.

Am I correct in thinking I have to deal with Orbitz to try to get on a different flight? Will they only rebook me on another Delta flight, or would they let me switch carriers?

Also, would they be willing to put me in a business class seat, or would I have to pay to upgrade?

I'm confused. Thanks for helping me!

You will need to start with Orbitz and it would be VERY unlikely someone is going to "upgrade" you to Business Class/First Class without charging you, and if you booked a non-refundable coach fare, a change fee as well.

Delta switched me to a stop over flight for my July trip. I called Delta and they put me back on a non-stop. They have already changed my flight 3 times and thee is 5 months to go!

Hand pick an alternate flight or flights or just one of the flights you would like and run that by Orbitz. If Orbitz won't change it for you for free, then one more strike against on line travel agencies in general.

Ok. This is what I just did! There were no more non-stops, but they did put me on a flight that leaves later, so I get 5 more hours in Disney World!

The person at Orbitz was very helpful. A big thumbs up from me for them. They notified me quickly of the flight change, and put me on another flight that worked with what I wanted. Plus, they changed my itinerary on their web site right away.
