I know that God works in strange ways, often beyond my comprehension. My 97 yr young mom was admitted to the hospital this afternoon with internal bleeding. Ironically we almost lost her tonight, one hour before the time Roger passed exactly 1 yr ago. My sister is staying in ICU with her tonight, and we will go back in the morning.

Isn't it amazing the turns life takes - instead of mourning Roger, we were comforting her!!! He and my dad must be watching over her.

Good news after a long weekend - mom is amazing! After her first colonoscopy at 97, it was determined she has diverticulitis in a few spots, it has to heal on its own, so they felt because of her age and the confusion that may come with prolonged hospitalization, she should come home tomorrow afternoon!
OK, that is the longest run on sentence ever by an English teacher.
One good thing is my family and I did all get to go out to dinner last night and celebrate Roger on the 1st anniversary of his passing. Such is life - needs to go forward. Thanks for your prayers and good wishes -they mean a lot. Caroline
