I suffer from motion sickness. Can I ride...?

How do you make the cars move? Because we rode it three times and not once did our car move even a tiny bit. He was actually concerned about it and we were watching as the ride would go by and then as they were loading/unloading etc...and nothing we saw or felt in the car indicated any kind of individual movement.
