I still can't decide!

Every time I am at WDW, I eat at a resort and think, "WOW! I am so staying here next time!" Now it is time to book my trip and I can't figure out where I want! I've gotten some great advice from people on the boards here but I still can't make up my mind, so hopefully my friends here on the DIS can help out!

Here is the story:

Just got a 4 night, 5 day trip to WDW for my 21st birthday and am bringing one of my friends! We have made our dining reservations and they are pretty much scattered all over, so that really is not a factor. I have stayed at YC in '04, CSR in '07, GF in '06 and MANY times before that as a little kid. I also stayed at Poly with my family this March. I didn't care so much for the YC, but that location is awesome. I LOVED Poly, the theming is right up my alley! But is it too soon to stay there again? Contemporary is booked, not interested in WL, BW, or YC.

I'm currently booked at AKL, but since our trip is so short I'm wondering if its remote location will cause us to "lose" time due to transportation, if that makes sense.

I'm considering BC for the location, but I'm worried b/c I didn't like YC.

Also considering GF since I love it there and my friend has always wanted to stay there.

Feel its too soon to go back to Poly, am I crazy?

Always wanted to stay at AKL, but the location makes me iffy.

Any input would be appreciated, I want to decide within the next few days! Ahhh.

I'd stick with AKL. The bus service there is really good and you don't have to share with any other resorts. Plus, I think it's good to try lots of different resorts. It's always fun to stay somewhere different.

I personally would recommend the Beach Club. I have stayed there twice with my third time being for my high school graduation trip in less than a week. I love the location with being able to walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Beach Club is my favorite resort.
I have also stayed at the Poly, BWI, BWV, SSR, Pop, CBR, Por, and All Star Music.

What park are you planning on spending the most time at? What didn't you like about the YC?

If you love it at the GF and your friend has always wanted to stay there, then my vote is for the GF. The rooms are beautiful and spacious and you are right in the middle of the magic
Having said that, AKL is amazing! But you can't walk anywhere from AKL or take a boat anywhere or a monorail

Thanks! I didn't like the nautical theme at the YC, and I was sick most of the time so I spent the week in that bed. Every time I think of that comforter and the bathroom, I just want to throw up LOL!

We are spending equal amounts of time at each park, which is why I am having such a hard time deciding!

How is the room decor at the BC? I've looked at a few pictures but it kind of looks outdated??

If you really want to try the Contemporary keep checking because you never know when someone might cancel a reservation. If you still can't get a room there, then I would suggest the Grand Floridian.

Absolutely!!! I thought that as soon as I read the title of the thread. I haven't stayed at all of the resorts you are considering but my vote is for GF or Poly; I just love the convenience of the monorail and that is Disney World to me.

you mentioned the poly a few times- sounds to me like you want to stay there

does it matter you were only there recently? failing that if you can afford the GF why not the poly is only next door

call & see which of those two have availability with a view you like; that might help you make the final decision

I would say the Poly or the GF . Since you love the Poly, I don't see anything wrong with going back again so soon . And your friend has always wanted to stay at the GF. So I would pick one of those two .

If you've never stayed at AKL, then I think you should give it a try. If you're heart is set on Poly, then maybe you won't be into it. Personally though AKL is probably my favorite resort of all. I honestly have on ly had several short stays there, but we've dined many times at Boma and never had an issue withthe buses. While the resort is slightly further away pysically, ther eis only one bus stop and the buses do not go to any other resorts - so that compensates for the distance. The monorail resorts often share busing. It's not quite the same as the monorail/boats to MK.

The theming at AKL is amazing, and yet it's slightly like Poly, in that it feels like you are somewhere else, somewhere exotic.

AKL has a better pool than Poly - no volcano - but the zero depth entry is nice, and it's a big pool. It also has several nice hot tubs.

I'm also not that into YC's theming. One other option in the area of Epcot is the Swan or Dolphin.

True. If you need pics allearsnet.com has pics of the rooms at BC. They are more beach themed, hence the name 'Beach Club'.

But wherever you choose you can't go wrong.

Oh, but you are right about the monorail resort access. I loved the Cont location we had.

I just called to book...POLY!!!! And they were booked So I switched to GF...sooooo expensive I feel bad. My parents said it is fine because it is my 21st birthday and we are not taking a family vacation this summer, but still! I may be changing back to AKL... ohhhh man. Thanks for all the advice!
