Herb Ouida lost his son, Todd, in the World Trade Center on 9/11. He started a foundation in Todd's name as a way to honor his memory, and also to help him and his family deal with their loss. The foundation's website is here:

I talked to Mr. Ouida about a workshop he'll be doing for a group I work with. I still get very emotional over anything about 9/11, so it's going to take a lot of self-control to keep from crying when I meet Mr. Ouida on Tuesday night. I cry just looking at the newsletter that's linked on his site.
I don't know that I would have the strength to do what he is doing, i.e., trying to turn the tragedy of his loss into something positive that helps others. That must take incredible fortitude and a very strong mind and character.
