We are fortunate to live 1 hr from the world and have seasoanal passes. Every weekend since Jan. we have tried to go to AK and every weekend something happens (who's sick, who has a 2 hr soccer game, who has to go to a B'DAY, oh anf this cold wheather hasn't helped.) So i was determined to go this weekend no matter what. DH is sick, DD10 has some sort of stomache virus . But me and DD5 are healthy its pouring rain out and
the warmest temp is 66. I don't care We're going!!!

So it's now 8:30am, it's cold and pouirng rain I'm driving about 40 miles an hr, if I'm lucky I might get their today. 1hr and 30 minutes later we're at at the world entrance DD5 starts crying because she misses DD10 and how can she enjoy Ak without her (suck it up kid I can; I'm such a bad mom but after driving in rainy, windy wheather I'm not turning back until; the sun is out .)

OK, time to pay for parking DD5 still crying ( where is this love when there fighting over who touched who first?) so I guess we'll turn back but I'm hungry so we'll eat before we go home. I have my $9. to pay parking (seasonal does give you free parking.) I started including this in my meal. When the nice CM asked me whats wrong I explained we're just going to eat she's upset sis is not w/us so we're eating and leaving. CM said then if your just eating you will not have to pay . What a nice guy


We're in pizza something (I forget) What no more pizza kids meal! . Ok I'll have a pizza $5.89 + 2 cokes $4.18 not including 20% DDE.. OH wow DD5 is smiling, can we go to It's Tough To Be A Bug?? Let's see now I drove all the way over here to eat and do
one attraction. OK. After ITTBAB "Mom I miss DD10 but I would like to stay a little longer, can we call her and tell her we miss her," Of course we can call her and we can ask her what she would like us to bring her? Well DD10 would rather me put money in American Girl fund then me bringing her anything. OK now I think the virus when to her head; you mean not one singlething , ok.

Well we are hungry again and decide to buy an Icecream by The Lion King
attraction, $4. someting and it is huge and delicious. We share it. Time to go to Dinoland, got to have the fries ($2. something and they were worth every penny)

Time to go home it's about 4 oclock the sun is shining, DD5 says but I didn't get anything, Wel you have money you can buy something w/ the money you have. She goes up to the CM and asks what can I but w/ $2. and some change. The CM states not much. OK she was satisfied w/ that answer and we left. She says she'll save up mere money for when she comes the next time.

And that is how I went to the World and spent less then $20.

Its amazing how once you lower your expectations, things start working out!
