I skipped THIS attraction, what was I thinking???

Up until a few years ago I've never been a big roller coaster fan. Maybe it's my memories of my mother dragging me on them when I was a child. I can remember being 5 years old (prior to Splash Mountain) and being made to ride Space and Thunder Mountain. Then my mom told me there was a Death Mountain as well- so you can see where this trauma has come from. Anyway off subject, 2 years ago on my honeymoon I rode all the "mountains" but chickened out on Rockin Roller Coaster. Last year we went back and I rode it, then it was over and over, back and forth between that and ToT. I could have went all day, but DH had to stop me.

Also- 1st year skipped Mickey's Philharmagic (sorry I can't spell), watched last year, and loved it.

Besides watching part of Wishes from CG, we've never watched a night show. I think it out of exhaustion both years, but we plan to catch all three in Feb.

For me: Ellen's Universe Of Energy. Tried it once and it was so not what I thought it was. :)

For DH: We never get to go into any attraction or section of the park that has little ones in it. i.e. Fantasyland (got him on IASW once and he was MISERABLE), Toontown, Tiki Birds, Country Bears, Tom Sawyer Island, etc.

We also skip the circle vision movies at WS. And after the one time of doing the boat ride in Mexico we never did that again. haha

We were there for 8 nights and still missed SO MUCH. The things that bother me the most are...

All of Epcot. We only rode Soarin.

Tiki Room

Pirates of the Carribean

Festival of the Lion King

Tarzan Rocks (now I'll never get to see it)

Hall of Presidents

Light Motor Action

There are so many more. I can't wait to go back and fix it :)

The first time my family went to Epcot back uin '83 we skipped the American Adventure. It wasn't until talking with a coworker later, that I realized we should've seen it.:) I made sure to see it later on.

Fantasmic.

we are not 'show' people and the lines always looked intimidating. But we LOVED it!! Now it is a 'must do"

How about an entire theme park? The first time DH and I went to WDW was in 1999 before I realized how obssessed with WDW I would become. We were there for 5 days, but never went to AK because we heard it wasn't good. We didn't get a guidebook or anything before we went so we were just basing it off other people's reviews. Next year we went to AK and realized what we were missing!

We usually always skip the Swiss Family Treehouse. Not intentionally though; it's just that, knowing it takes a little while to go through it, we intend to go back to it after we go on the more popular attractions, and end up forgetting about it. Next trip we'll make sure to see it, no matter what.

I used to skip Space Mountain. I never trusted family members who said it wasn't that bad.. Certian family member had lied to me earlier about other irdes I've been talked into going on, so I've lost trust. It was actaully an ex-boyfriend of my sister's who talked me into it. He wouldn't go on BTMRR (one of m favorites), but said SM wasn't bad. So I tried it. It still gives me goose bumps the first time I ride it each trip - just before the launch...

Mostly the rest were snoozers. We only saw the veggie show at the Land like once, and we always skipped the Timon movie there. When we finally did see it I nearly did fall asleep. There are some others we've seen, but now often skip - like the SFR Treehouse, the Hall of Presidents Canada movie, France movie (also put me to sleep).

Some day I'd like to dine at Sci-Fi though. That's one I've never seen.
We also saw the American show at Epcot once a long time ago, I might see that next trip. The timing never seems to work out for us.

We went last December and the only things I didn't get to ride that I really wish I'd gotten to were Test Track, Soarin', Peter Pan, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, and Expedition Everest. Both TT and Soarin' had 70 minute waits, and those seemed ridiculous to us whereas we'd been walking on to everything else. Peter Pan has a fastpass, but we never could make it to MK until it was around 7ish, and the fastpasses were always gone by then. Voyage looked too kiddy for us to be interested in (we're both in our 20's--but now we both want to see it,) and Everest wasn't open yet.

All of this will be rectified this October, of course.

We haven't been to AK yet. We've made four trips and have skipped it each time. We are finally going to go this February though. Our DS who is 8 will love it I'm sure. I definitely want to go to Everest too. We have a son who when he was younger hated zoos. On a family vacation when he was about 7 we ran through a zoo chasing him. We said that was the last time we took him to the zoo unless he "asked" to go. :) He's a college freshman and still hasn't been back to a zoo. Hence not going to AK. Can't wait for AK in February.

I skipped Mission Space the first time because all the warnings and things really freaked me out...and then all the posts on here from people getting sick, hating the ride, etc really made me want to avoid it. Well, I finally decided just to go ahead and try it mainly to see what all the hype and bad press was about. I figured I'd just try the green side first so I'd know generally what to expect, then try orange if it wasn't too bad. Well once I got there I said what the heck and just went right on orange. And it was great! Just so long as you follow the instructions the ride is fantastic. It wasn't nearly as intense as I thought it would be.

Also another one is Fantasmic...I had no idea where it was, and was always intimidated by the huge crowds. But now it's a must-see.
