I don't have a good excuse as to why i don't know this, but... friends of ours have changed their plans to join us in october AGAIN!!!. do you need a park pass as well as a ticket to attend mnsshp, now they are only coming for the party. don't ask me why, i've stopped trying to understand. thanks for the help.

No, you only need the ticket for the party, they don't need to use a day of a hopper pass if they won't be in the park before the party starts.

Good luck! This is the main problem with traveling as a group, trying to get everyone at the same place at the same time.

No park hopper required. Just the ticket to the party will get you in the gates at party time.

Try to have fun with the group thing. It can be tedious at times but it can also be well worth it and a lot of fun.
