It really is great over here in the UK to receive things from "over there" - what's especially interesting with the postcard exchange is seeing all about the places we only hear of in the news.

Thanks to you both again, the psotcards were not only beautiful, but very interesting too - you've made me very happy smiley today

Hi Nutsy et al...!!!
I am leaving my house in exactly 1 hour to put my postcards in the mail to all 3 of my people!!! I'm soooo sorry that I'm a week late. I've been helping with the memorial for our friend, John, that will take place on Saturday. The postcard hunt has been a great distraction though!!! So, look out! Here they come!!!

Thank you for the lovely postcards that I received today in the mail! The beautiful one of New Forest, with it's half a dozen local scenes (and to think that's where you live!). And a gorgeous one of Lymington - it's 3 scenes remind me a bit of - well, here - Victoria, British Columbia! I also appreciate that you took the time to write on them - that makes them extra special!

I got some postcards of Tennessee & Memphis & Graceland & Elvis' grave.

I also got some Dalmatian stickers & some Pooh b'day stickers as Mischelle looked up my profile & found out that I like Elvis & Dalmatians & that my b'day is soon.

Let me describe the 5 scenic ones first - and then the 6th one is very scenic (but we'll get to that one in a bit)

There are 2 that feature different majestic views of the Old Capitol and the New Capitol buildings of Tallahassee - the state capitol of Florida.

The 3rd postcard features Chief Osceola, who is the Florida State Seminoles mascot (he's ok - but I love his horse).

For the 4th postcard, it's a lovely one of St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge which in addition to many species of birds also contains "thousands of alligators, deer, rabbits, armadillo and feral hogs". Feral hogs? Pumba!

The 5th postcard is one of the Alfred B. Maclay Gardens - now I have to say those gardens look spectacular - they could certainly rival the local Butchart Gardens.

And the 6th postcard? Well, it is a 'tasteful' beefcake one! Yes - it's a barechested man - in a pair of jeans - and the jeans are done up all the way (hence the 'tasteful' label) - and this young man is gazing out at the surf!

tater bug: when I got to this one - I definitely LOL! Nevermind that he's young enough to be my son - thanks for including this special postcard! It made my day!

I am not too bright. I never thought to put all the cards in an envelope to save on the postage. I mailed each card separately. Live and learn.
