I sent/received my cookie recipe exchange

Only reason I know she's going is that she's in the pen exchange & told me so......

I can't mail my packages today! Please bear with me, my daughter has an ear infection and a bad cough. I thought I could get out today, but it is just too cold and a little too windy (trying to keep anything on her head is impossible). My son has a half day of school Wed. so I will definatly get them out then. Thanks for being patient!

Sorry I didn't post sooner! I have been busy lately but I got some neat stuff that I can't wait for my folks to receive!!! I hope they like it!!!

And I received my gift from J&D (Jennifer)!!!!!!!

Recipes (Can't wait to try them!!!), red and white decorating gel, red sanding sugar, decorating bags and tips and a heart cookie cutter!!!!!!!!

Me too!

Before Christmas I got together with 2 of my friends and we spent a Saturday making Christmas cookies. After baking and decorating 100's of cookies, I said I wouldn't do that again. Well, typing up your recipes got me into the mood again. Those cookies sure are good when you decorate them with frosting made from scratch.

I am SO far behind these days!! I actually mailed my 2 packages out on Friday, so I got that done on time. I just was so swamped all weekend that I never got to the computer to post an update.

Now that I am back at work, I have a little breating room and can get caught up on my personal business

I also received 2 packages in yesterday's mail! I was on my way out the door when I saw them. I just brought them in the house but didn't have time to open them yet. (Can you believe it?) So that will be the first thing I will do when I get home tonight.

Thanks in advance to those people who sent them to me! Your package has arrived, and I will thank you properly ASAP.

Well, I finally found time to open my packages last night, and found all kinds of wonderful things! Thank you Beanie and Meriweather!!

Meriweather sent several things, including copper cookie cutters and no less than 5 cookie recipes! Looks like I will be doing some baking very soon to try them out.

Beanie sent all the things to make sugar cookies, including a package of cookie mix! No there are no excuses.....she also included her signature, a Beanie bear. I read the tag to see what the story was behind this particular bear. Talk about coincidence.....

This particular Beanie is a bear in remembrance of children who we have lost to AIDS. Well, I work in the AIDS Institute of the New York State Dept of Health. We have just created a new health care plan for needy adults and children who have HIV and AIDS. This is the first program of its kind in the country. So now my new Ariel bear is sitting on my desk at work right where she belongs.

Tammy also send heart cookie cutters a heart flag pin and , my favorite part, a lovely letter describing her family. That's so nice...I feel like I have a new friend.
