....faith in men. has anyone seen it?

So recently single I am back on the dating scene.

I have had two dates, both of which I THOUGHT went great. Both guys called after and emailed a lot to say how much they liked me and to arrange another date. Lot's of 'you're so great, I can't wait to see you again, yada yada yada'.

BOTH guys cancelled the second date at the last minute (using the 'I have to work' excuse and never got in touch again.

WTH is going on???

Must be something I'm doing wrong, but darned if I know what it is!

Two cancelled dates in 4 days. That has to be some kind of record......

I am sooo glad it's not just me. I don't get guys. I just don't. Don't know about you Midge but both the guys in this case have been totally enthusiastic right up to the last minute!

Men are strange creatures. I have found in the past that when I was not "looking" for someone is when they seemd to materialize. And when they did materialize, I was very low-key, tried to appear enthusiastic & happy but not hang on their every word or behave as if they were the be all and end all, tried to give the impression that I had a life with or without them. I also said no a few times, had other plans, which seems to comfort them that you won't be looking to tie them down and spend every waking moment with them. Plus, it also made them think "Hmmm...who does she have other plans with?"

Plus, it's only been 2 dates, not 2000, so I wouldn't panic yet.
