We were standing in line for Who Wants To Be A Millionaire @ MGM and there was this man in line driving one of those little carts. He had on a red shirt with suspenders with Christmas pins on them; also he had long gray hair & beard. As we stood in line, I joked with my girlfriend telling her look, Santa’s on vacation. Anyway as we waited, we watched this young boy walk up to him and said “Hey Mister are you Santa Claus?” My GF smiled at me and said check him out. Santa looked at him and said “Well Son, why yes, I am Santa Claus” the smile on this boy’s face was unbelievable. Santa went into his top pocket and pulled out a picture of him and Mrs. Claus in full outfit, then pulls out a pen and autographs it and hands it to him. I though that was one of the coolest things I ever seen at Disney. I just wanted to share with everyone.

Good day

Thanks for sharing that story with us!

It's so sweet!

I wonder what the real story is with that Santa?? On vacation? Works for Disney?

Thanks again!:)

When were you there? We saw a guy that I identified as Santa :p at the Orlando airport on June 16th.

Hey we saw him while waiting for the parade in MGM on June 12th!!

Good to hear he is still around - I used to see him quite a lot, but haven't in a few months now.

Last Thanksgiving Day we saw him at MK. I told my wife.."look its Santa".

He is so real looking. Later that night, sure enough, its Santa standing on stage at POR singing Xmas Songs with Piano Man Bob Jackson.

THEN....while watching a Monday Night Football game last year between Thanksgiving and XMAS ( from Miami...Dolphins vs. Bears) ....ABC TV shows this guy in the stands ...IT WAS SANTA !!!!!! My wife and I just looked at each other and could not beleive what we were seeing.

He was wearing a red shirt with red pants with black belt.

Word has it..he visits WDW often, and on Thanksgiving night he has been a regular on Stage at POR with Bob Jackson for the last few years.

We saw Santa watching the afternoon parade at the Magic Kingdom the week following Christmas last year.

It was the spitting image of the "classic" Santa.

I thought to myself, Christmas is over and here is Santa on vacation at Disney.

Over the years I have seen quite a few people that look like Santa. It always brings a smile to my face. I always take a picture.

About 4 years ago we went the first week in December. We were at the Osborne Spectacle of Lights and there he was...red shirt, suspenders, beard and all. Looked just like Santa. I saw him and got chills. Yes, I'm an adult but I asked him if he was Santa Claus and he said YES I AM YOUNG LADY. I liked the young part. I have a picture of him. My husband and I will never forget it.

That is so neat! I'm so glad you told us about this, I'm going to watch for Santa in August :)

PamNC,
OMG we were also at the Osborne Lights last year and my dd8 insisted it was the real santa so we went over and she asked him reluctantly if he was the "real" Santa and he told her that he was, and that he was there making sure everyone was on there best behavoir. I have a picture of my dd8 with him.
Later in the week we were at downtown Disney and saw the Santa there but my daughter was not nearly as enthusiastic to see him since she had already seen the real one.

How Cool!
After watching the Christmas Parade on tv this year, I informed DS that after Christmas Santa goes on vacation to WDW...just like the football players after the superbowl, thats why he is in the parade. I believe it. ;)

We saw Santa too! Nov 10, 2001 at the Main St Barber shop! Same guy, same beard, same red suspenders, same ECV! He was SO nice to my girls, it was Riley's first haircut and Meghan's fourth birthday. Meghan whispered "are you REALLY Santa?" and he said "yes, I'm resting up, we have a big night coming up, don't we Meghan!" She was SHOCKED that he knew her name, she didn't realize she was wearing her GOH pin ;)

Holy Moly. I forgot all about seeing Santa several years ago at Universal Studios! He got picked to be part of one of the shows (don't remember which one) and this little boy about 5 or 6 walked right up to him in the middle of it and asked him if he was Santa. He said yes and everyone in the audience went Awww!
It was really cute.

We saw Santa at the Beirgarten in 2000. My DS and DNiece whispered to each other the entire meal about whether or not it was really Santa. As we were leaving, they got up the courage to ask him-and of course, he said he was! He signed their autograph books, and I snapped a photo of the 3 of them! So nice for another visitor to spread a little magic! :)

Ok, since just about everyone has seen this guy, whoever has a pic of him, please post on here. Let us all see if were talking about the same guy. I am really curious to see if this is the same guy.

Good Day

I used to see the same guy all of the time when I worked at Epcot. I'm sure it's the same person that everyone has seen, unless there are multiple Santas (and we all know there's just one!!!). :p

I met him at the MK exit last week. He is every bit as friendly as one would expect.

We saw Santa at Epcot at the end of May. He was eating lunch in the Land with Mrs. Claus. DD6 couldn't take her eyes off him. We waited from them to finish lunch and then went over and asked the big question." Are you really Santa? " "Yes, I am", he replied without hesitation. He then gave her an autographed card with their picture on it. It has their web-site on the back. Check it out it is very cute! Also has the same picture as on the card. Let me know if he is the same Santa you all spotted.

That is the Santa and Mrs Claus we saw last November in Epcot...anyone know if they are Florida residents who visit WDW often, so many have seen them. Very nice folks, they were talking to a lot of kids and he was giving autographs and attention to all of them...:)
