...chickened out of saying hello!
Coming out of the Beach Club on Monday night I walked past someone who I had to do a double take to see why I knew them, and it was Pete!

Kind of felt a weird sort of starstruck feeling and got all nervous so chickened out of introducing myself!!

Oh well, maye next time I'm back in Orlando (probably in about two years!!) I won't chicken out if I see someone from the Podcast Crew :lmao:

(ps man is DTD busy tonight! I gave up queuing to get into Wolfgang Puck cafe and am in an equally as crowded Earl of Sandwich - got 7 counter service credits left and am only here til Friday afternoon!!!)

:goodvibes

I would have chickened out as well. I wouldn't want anyone thinking I was stalking them or anything.

Enjoy the rest of your stay!

I would really want to say Hi, but also wouln't want to invade his private time, as much as I would want to. :goodvibes

Hmmmmm... What would I do? I would squeal like I just saw a Rock Star and go ask for his autograph... Just to embarrass him ya' know! Oh yea, Start crying like I met Hannah Montanna :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Ok probably not but it sounds funny!

being senile and all, when i recognize someone, i always think it's someone i know - family/friend....
i always put on this huge smile and say "HI!"....and only after that does it finally dawn on me who the person is and i feel like a complete idiot for making a spectacle of myself....

i did that just the other day with a former government minister...being the politician that he is, he gave me a big hello and smile like he knew me too..
in fact, he went a step further and said, "how have you been?" as if he did know me....
so i guess he's senile too - or else just being nice and pretending to know me so i wouldn't feel bad...

but as for Pete, i'm betting he would have been very happy to meet you...especially given that you're a diser from across the pond!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

I did almost the same thing! I saw Kathy outside of a WDW Marathon weekend WISH meet at Pop in January 2009. I wanted to say hello, but I was also starstruck. I couldn't believe she had come to see the DIS athletes!

No way Luke!
He totally would have taken the time to speak to you.

Hope you're enjoying your trip! Not missing much back here - just rain and plenty of it!!!

i am the opposite i go out of my way to look for people and never see them..............or.......... maybe they see me first.............maybe this trip.:)

It's not like he was chasing down his bus or something. ;)

I wonder who you are talking about.....:lmao::lmao:. And by the way she doesn't stalk.....:rotfl::rotfl:.

Too funny.

Don't worry I will be like that on the cruise. I will see Pete from a far and tell my husband I just saw Pete and probably not be able to walk up to him and introduce myself. With 700 Disers he won't notice....:lmao::lmao:

Of course you realize that there were other people on that bus besides Pete.... He wasn't even in that equation! Now, my pals Jen, Kristen, and Christy - they were another story!

Luke - you should have said a quick Hi. The podcast folks are people, too, for goodness sake! It's kind of amazing/overwhelming how many folks and how geographically far the show reaches!

Luke, I totally know how you feel, and before June I probably would have done the same thing.

However, after meeting most of the podcast crew at the June meet, I would have no qualms going and saying hi to any of them! They were all so warm and friendly, plus they really seemed to enjoy meeting us all (that or they are fantastic actors! :lmao:)

Have a fantastic time though Luke, can't wait to hear all about it when you get back!! :goodvibes

Pete has mentioned how much he likes to listen to the "Brits" - you were a shoo-in for his time :) You've now had a celebrity siting you can tell your friends & family about :lmao: Safe travels home!
