We saw one at IOA in May -- DD asked a staff member about it, and he said there were lots of cats around. Anywhere there are lots of dropped food opportunities, there will be feral animals (maybe especially cats, after the rodents attracted by the food -- as well as the food). The cats probably help keep the rodent population somewhat under control. People dropping off unwanted pets may be part of the issue, but it only takes one or two "unfixed" cats or dogs to start a self-sustaining feral population. (I won't go into all my scathing remarks about people who do such irresponsible things).
I was walking with my 2 daughters from Mission Space (waiting for dh to get off ride) and we were heading toward Test Track to the bathrooms beyond there. I saw a cat walking over to the right in some shrubbery/seating area. My dds did not see it. My 5 yo thought I was teasing her, even though I insisted I really did see a cat! Has anyone else seen a cat at Disney, Epcot in particular? I don't know how it got in there without getting hurt.

I just feel very strongly about animal welfare!
