I saw 2 group of families get pick to stay in the caste.

We went for a 10 day trip aug 13~22. On Weds. 8/15 we were at epcot, The Land, rode the living with land, a couple of boats in front the family got picked to stay in the castle. It was neat to see. They video tape and have the family sit down and show them something on a DVD player. It was pretty cool to see.
This happen around 9:30 to 10:30 am.
Then we went back Tues, 8/21 to ecpot, again the land, now we did soarin, Well guest what? Another family was picked. this happen around the same time. This time it was soarin the picked a family. I saw the tail end of it. They(family) was in front of me walking out of the land, I approach them and ask what dream the recieved, and they told me, the night in the castle and congratulated them. They were so thrilled. The family was on cloud nine!
The time we were there we never recieved not one dream. It really did not bother me. LOL it was to hot, hot, hot to care.
It was just fun to see other people win a dream. Those were the only 2 I saw the whole time.

Ditto!!! I hope we get to see some awesome dreams while we are down there. Of course I hope they are for us but I would be thrilled to see other receive an exciting dream like this. I probably would get choked up for them!

Hey Ang,

We were there the same day (8/13) and watched the family watching the DVD in the food court. How exciting for them! We had just come off Soarin' (where the wait was only 30 of the 50 minutes posted) and my son was hungry, so we got something to eat and noticed all the cameras and commotion around a table near us.

We had our own surprise a day later. Walking into MK around 8:30, and my daughter wanted to check out the lollipops in the Confectionary. We got to talking to a CM, and eventually he asked us to be the Grand Marshals in that days parade! We got Mickey ears and a photo and had an awesome time.

The trip itself is magical...the YOAMD extras are like icing on the cake.

That would be GREAT to see someone win that! I don't think that I would want to spend the night in the castle....I love my resort (Pop) too much! It would be cool to go up there and see it, but not have to stay all night. Now, on the other hand I would love, love, LOVE to stay in the Mickey Mouse suite at Disneyland!

We also witnessed a castle stay giveaway while in Disney from the 11-19. We saw the dream team complete with a video camera walk into Mt. Everest at the AK and took a family aside for the people who were on the train right before us. It was exciting just to watch the dream team swoop in. My sister also believes she saw the dream team giving away another castle stay at MGM in the star tours posing area where you usually meet the characters. She heard the dream team talking to the people and they asked "would you like to get your luggage now?" which leads to her inference. I was happy to see all the magic in the parks, although it didn't personally happen to our family.

It must be awesome to see someone win the stay in the castle! We won dream fastpasses while getting off of Mt. Everest ride in AK and were thrilled to get that. We only used a couple of the rides (we were getting ready to head out of the park), so we gave the passes to a family having lunch near us. They were so thankful and it was fun for us to "pay it forward."
