I'm posting this because I had read that the Lilly Belle was no longer open to the public - although I may have missed an update on that - so wanted to let people know that it's available.
On our first day I thought I'd just ask if she's still taking passengers and was told that sometimes she did. Each day I went back and she was either not running or not taking passengers. Yesterday I went up again and was told that she was due o run and might be taking passengers and to come back at 11. At 10.35 I went back, they started a line, fortunately I was second in line and got my family on the 12.30 ride :cool1: They were only doing it twice that day and only 14 passengers per trip.
It was such a beautiful carriage and I feel so lucky to have had a chance to go on it. For me, this was more of a 'bucket list' than Club 33 and I was so upset when I read that she wasn't taking passengers anymore.
happy happy day!:cheer2:

So did you actually have to wait in line for 2 hours? Or did they put your name on a list or something?

Where do you ask...Main St. Station?

At 11 o'clock you get your name and number in your party next to the time of your ride and you just have to come back 15 minutes before the trip. You do it at the Main St station. You also get a special Lilly Belle ticket on the train.

Awesome! I got to ride it once as well. I didn't even know what it was at the time but quickly learned!

This is something my mom really REALLY wants to do. I will be sure to ditch the kiddos and have her and I a chance to ride this. We will check in each day to see if it is running. Can't wait. She will be so thrilled to hear this news!!

Are kids not allowed to ride it or something?

I'm so glad to hear they've opened the Lilly Belle up again for us common folks! Yes, kids are allowed to ride the Lilly Belle, although I've seen some that shouldn't have. One group we were with let their kids put their dirty shoes on the seats and standing on the chairs. That made me cringe!! They also talked the whole time the cast member was trying to tell us the history. With the lack of respect, I don't think they had a clue how lucky there were to be riding.:(

If only 14 get to ride each time and there are only 28 seats total in a day. I would HATE to take up spots with my kiddos. They won't appreciate it anymore than the regular train so it seems silly not to let someone who will share the appreciation have the spots.

Just simply paying it forward and hoping others will do the same so we can have a chance to ride.

I wanted to hit the "Like" button on your comment, but this isn't facebook! LOL!! I like your thinking AmberStar. :thumbsup2

Well, as two adults with one child...I don't care....we're still going to try to ride it. All three of us.

I absolutely agree with you here, if you wanna do it go for it! Besides it's amazing the little things kids end up remembering years later. It also provides some lovely downtime in early afternoon as it's a round the world trip!

Unfortunately, my son won't remember ANYTHING on this trip. He'll only be 16 months old. Who knows...maybe he wouldn't even technically take anyone's spot since he's so young.

Our DD5 came on it with us. Sure she didn't understand how lucky she was to have ridden it, but then again, she doesn't understand the planning and technique that went behind her being in the first group to see Anna and Elsa either or why we waited behind a big bank of lights for ages before we got an uninterrupted view of Fantasmic - but she loved it all. I agree that if the kids can't behave themselves it would be a pity to waste the seats though.

So glad to hear they've opened it back up to us 'regular' folk again. We were fortunate enough to ride twice in the past and it was wonderful. The first time we rode, the CM gave no history or speaking about how the Lily Belle came to be, in fact she was more interested in talking about flip-flops with another passenger. Kinda took the wind out of our sails.

Then last November we rode again and had an absolutely wonderful CM who rode with us and gave tons of history about the park, train, and his memories of coming to Disneyland when it first opened. We also received the 'ticket' which is one of my prized possessions...hope all of you who want to ride in her will be lucky to do so!

We were there the week of Nov. 2nd and it looked like some common folks were riding the LB. Great to see after the rumors on MC.
