I-Ride trolley from Hard Rock or Parks

Hi,
We will be at Hard Rock in mid-May for 5 nights. No car. I just received the I-Ride trolley map. It says the closest stop to Universal is marker #14 (American Way) 1/2 mile away.

I know how far a 1/2 mile is but was wondering if anyone has tried it. Was it easily walkable or would we have to cross really busy, dangerous roads to reach that I-Ride stop?

I want to know about the I-Ride Trolly too. We'll be at the HRH in July for a week with no car. Where does the trolly go to? Where can we get a map? How much does it cost. Can someone who has used the trolly please give us the details? Thanks so much!

I ordered the I-Ride Trolley map form their website at

It was included in the little brochure they mailed. On the last page of FAQ's they say the closest stop to Universal Studios is #14 (American Way) Not sure if American Way is a hotel or cross street name or what. It says it's a 1/2 mile, sounds easy enough, but I don't know if you have to cross multiple lanes of traffic to reach it. If anyone has walked to this I-Ride Trolley stop from USF, how was the walk?

American Way is a U shaped road that connects to I Drive. I always thought that the stop at Major Blvd was closest but I may be wrong. Either way I never tried it because the walk was a bit much for me.
