I was at WDW last week and unfortunately was pretty sick for the final three days of my trip. On the last day I had three QS credits left as well as several snacks.

When I checked my credit balance at the front desk on my last day the CM there encouraged me to trade the QS for three S each. I kind of just assumed that maybe she was mistaken and only chose two S per QS. At the register the cashier informed me that I was entitled to 3 S per QS so I picked up three more bags of trail mix.

So, is it two or three? Does it depend on the location? This was on 2/08.

I also was offered 3 snacks for a quick service credit at AKV marketplace on 02/06/17.

I think the 2 snack thing was a little alarmist. There were only a couple of reports of it happening, and in places where it isn't done a lot. I think the CM's just didn't know the policy.

That's because there is NO policy. This is just something that has always been done, but mostly at the resorts. When the substitution for drink/dessert portions came in, it became much easier to do it throughout the parks. The substitution is no longer written on the brochures, so this exchange is now much more fluid. The resorts will probably continue to do it with no problem, but I think it will be hit or miss throughout the parks.

Thank you for giving your experience. It used to always be 3 (or was supposed to be and if a CM told you different, you could always find a different CM or resort that would allow it), but since the new plan and dropping the dessert in Jan., ppl. haven't been sure what's going to happen. I personally think when we go, we'll still be able to do 3, but it's good to get actual experiences.

The only place I've ever seen it written down is at the Starbucks locations. There was once a menu card that stated breakfast is either hot sandwich and beverage or a "continental breakfast" of pastry, fruit and hot beverage, ie three snack items.

from http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2015/...ast-sandwich-at-main-street-bakery-starbucks/ but this is a nearly two year old blog post.

And these were only at the Starbucks locations. Each eatery gets to decide what they will/will not allow on any dining plan. They are reimbursed for what is on the brochure. If they decide to give you more, they are "losing money." That's why the Disney owned places are much more generous in what they allow and the others are much more strict.

Well you can only do the three snack meal at a Disney owned location anyway (which includes Starbucks)

Disney owns all the Starbucks in the parks. The two Starbucks at Disney Springs are corporate-owned stores.
