My DH reminded me about the man I punched at Magic Kingdom on our last trip to Disney. First off, I am not a violet person, and I normally don't hit people, let's just say my motherly instinct kicked in fast.

We were at MK and heading to the front to see the Parade, my DD was 3 at the time. We are a family of 6, DH was pushing the stroller, myself and 3 kiddos were walking along side him. I was holding my 3 yr old DD hand. Out of no where, this man ran between me and my 3 yr old DD, separating us, and basically knocking her down to the ground. He saw that he knocked her down, he didn't stop at all, he kept going. Before I knew it, I ran behind him, with all my might I punched him in the back. He stood still for a moment, turned around, and looked at me and DH, I think he thought DH hit him. I screamed at him "you knocked my baby down, and just ran off!!" He looked in total shock, and said, he didn't realize what he was doing as he was in a hurry to see the Parade. I was like, look at my DD knees(she had scrapes), I told him he was lucky I only punched him. I was pissed! He did apolygize and of course quickly got away from us, LOL! I did see him later on in the day and he told another man he was with "thats the lady over there that punched me, I can't believe she hit me". I think from now on, he will be more careful at Disney around small children.

I know I could have handled the situation differently, but my instinct took over and things happened so fast. I could have prolly went to jail that night. LOL!

This is a made up joke kind of post, right? A ha-ha?

Okay your ticker shows you will be home before I arrive. All is fine now....

You are my new hero!!!:worship: You don't mess with the lioness' cubs!!!

C'mon guys - seriously - you don't really think this, right?

You're just posting it to get people riled up because it's a slow Friday night and we need some entertainment...

Yes, you probably could have gone to jail that night. In fact, you definitely could have. I guess you're lucky the man decided not to file assault (or is it battery?) charges. And I'm surprised (and disappointed) that security didn't escort you out of the park. I hope they usually respond when someone punches another guest! Personally, I probably would have been too busy worrying about my child's scraped knees to run off after a guy who accidentally knocked my child down.

I guess humor is in the eye of the beholder, because I certainly don't find any of that story funny at all.

I guess we know why her daughter doesn't want to go to Disney with the family this year...

It takes all kinds I guess. Shameful is all I can think of at the moment and it isn't towards the man who accidently ran thru you and your child.

If she's that unsteady, maybe you should've had her in the stroller your dh was pushing?

Must remind my dd11 to make sure she doesn't go near any moms holding daughters hands less she accidently bump them.

I agree, I wouldn't want to go w/ her either.

Gotta be for Friday night entertainment.

This doesn't REALLY happen, right?

I am just simply sharing a story. Not trying to start anything. Perhaps, the Disney Police would have escorted the Man out for injurying my Child. Maybe I should have reported him. You never know what you will do once put in a situation. I did feel bad about what happened, I am not a violet person at all. I must say this is for sure a Disney memory, I can learn from and laugh about now!

ha-ha!! Reallly funny!

I wasn't trying to be funny. If my mother had acted the way your described yourself acting, I would not want to be somewhere where she could act that way again. Especially if she thought it was funny.

How does one Accidently run between 2 people, look behind him and see that a child fell, and continued to Run off, yet I'm the bad one??????

Hun, that situation is not and will never be the reason she doesn't want to come along! Heck, she prolly doesn't even remember it.

Because he accidentally knocked your child down. You didn't accidentally punch him. He was careless and inconsiderate. You were violent and intentionally accosted the man. The two actions are completely different.

You are not a violet person?
:rotfl:
"What's wrong with violets? There's not enough violets in this world, we need more violets and less of that. . . " Sorry, I was having a flashback of Emily Litella on Saturday Night Live. (Violets, violins, violence. . . same thing, apparently!)
