I-Pod question?

Hiya,

Coming to Florida in 2 weeks and I am looking at buying an I-Pod while I am there. I know that they are roughly £295 over here for the smallest one and I was just wondering if anyone knew how much they are for the smallest ones in the US?

Ok, This is some info I found for you:

An Ipod Mini cost around $250. It holds up to 1000 songs. I know I bought mine at Best Buy and there is a $40 two-year warranty you can buy that protects against if you drop your Ipod or the Battery runs out or whatever. Ipod Mini's also come in a variety of colors.

Next is a 15GB Ipod. (This is the one I bought) It holds up to 3700 songs. It costs about $300

Next is the 20GB Ipod. It holds up to 5000 songs. It costs about $400

Finally is the Big one. It's the 40GB Ipod. It holds around 10000 songs. It costs about $500

I was looking at buying the smallest one but if the next size up is only an extra $50 I might buy one of those.

Do you know anything about the cost of songs to put onto your I-pod because as I understand it, each song costs 99cents. Although this sounds cheap when you think that you are able to download 1000 this becomes quite expensive!

You can always put a regular cd into your computer and transfer songs from there into iTunes (the software that comes with the iPod) and then when you hook up the iPod, the songs download right into it.

I got an iPod for graduation, and let me tell you, it is great!!! It's easy to manage and it's so small that you can pretty much take it anywhere.

Thanks..........im still not sure to b honest because I was hoping to buy one and then just download songs from the net onto it (i didnt realise you had to pay to download those)and although the CD idea is great its an additional fee on top because I would still have to buy the CD's.

For the money i know the larger one seems worth it but i have the ipod mini and i thought i would use up the 1000 fast, but ive had it since march and i only have about 350 songs on it. think about how many songs you have or might download then choose which ipod best fits. the mini has alot of cool features that im nuot sure the big one has. you can always look up comparisions online
