Thats it. Do you like it is it worth the money?
I LOVE my iPad, and I'm not a typical Apple lover. All of my home computers are Windows-based. But with the iPod and, now, iPad, Apple definitely hooked me.
That said, I do NOT use it primarily as an e-reader, as some PPs have suggested. For that, we've got Kindles, which we also love. I find the iPad screen too vibrant -- and a bit heavy -- for long reading sessions; the lit screen definitely will tire your eyes after a while. That's simply not the case with the unlit Kindle, which "reads" much more like an actual printed book.
But the iPad is marvelous for movies/TV shows, Web surfing, games, video streaming, viewing photos, and hundreds of other applications that just aren't available on any other platform (yet).
For the record, I have the 3G-equipped, 32GB model. So far, I haven't needed the 3G functionality, since I have WiFi at home and can also use my Droid2 phone as a WiFi hotspot in a pinch. But I just figured I'd rather have the option than not.
The iPad isn't really replacing anything for me -- it doesn't hold nearly as much music as my iPod, isn't as comfortable for long-term reading as my Kindle -- but I AM using my laptop a lot less for casual Web surfing, Facebook updates, that kind of thing. It's so handy and portable, I now can't imagine not having it around. And it's defnitely making the journey with me when we have a big family get-together at Disney at the end of February.
