I pack this.... just in case

Once I brought a blender, styrofoam cups with lids and instant cappuccino mix. I started each day with a frozen cappuccino, drank it on the bus and into the parks. It was a light breakfast that kept me cooled off in the mornings.

Oooo, one other thing.
About a year ago, I came across these things called "True Lime" and "True Lemon" at Walmart. They are individual packets (think size of Sweet & Low, etc) of lime or lemon crystals that you can mix in water or other drinks. I carry at least 3 in my purse at all times but I also carry them in anything I pack, including our backpack we use in the parks.

What part of the store are those in? I'd like to carry some of those too!

I always have a small pad of tiny little post-its in my purse. They are great for toilet flushing sensors, to leave a tiny little note, or occupy DD to make "stickers" when she's bored.

In addition to the waterproof box containing meds for ALL reasons as well as the ziploc bags of many sizes, we carry a ziploc bag of disposable wipes. Even though my tribe is much older now, you cannot have enough wet wipes to clean up the messes that are inevitable!

Bandaids! especially for blisters from walking around all day hahaha

Extra sunglasses, in case a pair breaks...

Hydrocortisone/some type of cream for itchy mosquito bites!

Great idea.

We are a Cub Scout family and bandanas are on the list. Last meeting we had over 28 things you can use them for. Also with them in numerous colors each person gets a color.

Just for fun - can you share that list?

On my person every moment in the parks:

Wipes, shades, and a small bottle of liquor; because I know I'll need them.

and

A high end field medical kit, zip-lok bags, and a disposable camera; because I would hate to be without them if I did need them.

Aloe Vera in case of sunburn. Now I always carry sunscreen with me into the parks, and re-apply often, as I am as white as white can be! So the odds of a sunburn are pretty low. But I'd rather have it if I need it, then have to buy a 3 oz bottle for $20 at WDW. I only exaggerate the price a little.;)

I always have a few safety pins pinned inside my bag. You just never know when a wardrobe malfunction will occur!!!

1. Tylenol, Imodium, cold meds, cough drops, band aids
2. Laundry soap
3. Dollar Store rain ponchos
4. Small flash light
5. My favorite coffee creamer, english muffins, instant oatmeal
6. Sunscreen and more Sunscreen
7. Peppermint Foot Cream (from bath and body works)
8. Magnifying mirror to put my makeup on and contacts in

There is only 1 type of cough syrup that works for me so I always put that in my bag in case I catch a cold with a bad cough. I also pack my favorite cold medicine.

After all of my trips I finally did use it this year in Dec. 2012. :) So I'll be sure to keep packing that!

Why do people post these things without brand names? Lol. We are going to want to know your favorites. At least I do. Will you please share? Thanks!

In regards to extra towels, I always grab a few of those $1 store towels that are packed small but expand when they get wet (really washcloths, lol) for the backpack, those have been great when we needed a towel but not a huge one. I also always pack each of the girls and I a Turbie Twist towel for the room. We all have long hair and like to have our hair up in a towel after we get out of the shower and the Turbie Twist saves towel usage.

Another thing I always pack are samples packs. I get a lot of different kinds of samples for shampoos & conditioners, lotions, cereals, energy bars, Tide pods, etc. Free is GOOD. :thumbsup2

Oh, and depending on when we are going...a Snuggy (or 2). Perfect for when you are watching the movie at the resort at night, taking a nap in the day without turning down the blankets, etc. Folds up small, and there has never been once we had it that we didn't use it, but there have been times when we didn't have one we wish we did.

A real first aid kit. My daughter tripped and tore the skin on her toe once and a bandaid wasn't enough. The resort store has next to nothing in first aid supplies (band aids are about the best they have) and waiting until we got to the med center at the park wasn't fun.

I pack sinus meds, and Alka seltzer cold meds along with the tylenol just in case. It came in handy on our April trip when DH got a cold while on vacation.

I like the idea of making a frozen cappuccino that someone on here posted. We will be there the last few days of August into Sept. and I'm sure it will be too hot for me to drink my coffee-- frozen coffee sounds much better!

We also pack a bunch of small plastic grocery bags, they come in handy for all sorts of things!

Yes! This!
You need at the least:
Disinfecting wipes
iodine tincture, also a tube of neosporin
Bandaids, gauze, tape, those really good clear waterproof bandaids
steri-strips (if you don't need them they are small, if you do need them nothing else will work)
small bottle of H2O2
Preparation H (for swollen sore feet. If you happen to also get a 'roid...)
Assortment of tylanol, motrin, immodium, tums, zegrid, pseudophed, etc
Tweezers (splinters)
Duct-tape

If you want to be prepared for everything:
Smelling Salts
a disposable lancet (most often for really bad splinters)
Super-glue

Crazy stuff I usually have, just in case:
Field Suture Kit
Amyl Nitrate (immediate relief for angina attack, counteracts cyanide poisoning, and its a dis-associative that can help someone deal with getting an emergency stitch of having a bad splinter removed)
JB Weld.

I read one post that suggested using a "swimmers towel" they're made of a chammy-type material and are very absorbent. Takes up very little room in a bag and great for wiping off wet benches and rides.

Great IDEAS!
