Wow...That's taking PC to the extreme!! Using your logic, the entire DIS boards should be shut down to keep from offending people who are not able to afford vacationing.

Maybe the OP's intent was to express gratitude for one life's blessings, and now you've made him/her feel bad .

That's for sure! Following the same silly logic, I guess we should always drive a rusty old heap....don't want to make anyone feel bad if our car is nicer than their. Better live in a shack, too....maybe a cardboard box. After all, if you live in a nice house you're rubbing other people's nose in it (kidding).

I'm glad I'm not so insecure that what someone else has makes me feel inferior or jealous. We all make choices and our choices determine what we have & how much we have. When there's a thread about # of points, I enjoy seeing how people accumulate/split them up. I can't imagine having a pity party because someone has more points than I do. If I want more points, I'll do what it takes to save the $$ & buy more....but I don't feel bad that someone has more.

danny1649, We discuss the number of points we have around here all the time. I don't ever recall anyone suggesting they were upset about that idea until now. It is frequently important to the discussion from either point of view of the original question or the answer in some situations. I'm sorry you feel the way you do but I think it will continue to be discussed as it NEVER seems to come across the way you seem to think it would.

After our recent resale, I lasted less than a week on the top 20 list. I've been downgraded . Rather than adding more points, I suggest that the list be ammended to include the top 30 or 40!

270 at BCV split 170 and 100. We will add on more points in the future as we can afford them. We are young with 2 small children, so as we grow, hopefully so will our DVC points!!!!

When we first bought points, I thought that one week in a one bedroom would be enough. It was through the Dis Boards that I realized I could go more than once a year, and it is OK to bring friends and relatives. Thanks, guys. (I also know how much fun it is to be planning the next trip) Sandie

In answer to the OP's question, I have 225 points and am on the waitlist for 30 more.
150 VWL
50 VW
25 BWV
30...waiting to buy BWV
as far as to resale-ability of points, I doubt my small contracts would be worth it to any one. Thank goodness I don't intend to sell.
If I found myself unable to go or afford a trip I would rent the points.

I'm sorry some people seem bothered by others having more points than they do..............hey, you choose where to spend your money, and if you don't have a lot of money, you can choose to work harder and make more money. Or not and have a more laid back life. It's all about the freedom of personal choice.
I'd rather there be rich and poor people than a government that tells me what I can do for a living and how much money I can earn so we can all be on the same level

Are your smaller contracts add-ons or truly separate with separate use years? I think if they are addon's from Disney, you cannot sell them separately. or am I wrong?

If they are separate- how does one accomplish this?

Add ons or separate, if they were bought separately, they can be sold separately. It basically comes down to each deed can be sold separately, even at times if bought at the same time from Disney. If you buy 300 points, you can have them break it into two contracts or all together, your choice.
