how does this compare with everyone else?

I wanted flexibility to reduce my DVC commitment, later in life, without going away,from DVC all together.

I think. I can sell my Small DVC contracts, fairly easy??

Are the OKW points in one or multiple contracts?

DO you feel that a 45 point contract is the minimum to have any value for resale purposes??
I need an additional 25 point contract, do you agree, it would be impossible to resale?? because of closing costs

700 points. We too wanted flexibility with multiple contracts, but worked hard to get the same use year on each.

I just reread your post, I am imprssed, that you own 1220 DVC POints. You should see the look on other DVC Owners face, when I tell them, that i own 625 dvc points.
I can't imagine, what their face must look like, when you tell them that you own 1220 DVC POINTS.

150 BWV (purchased some of the "found" or "new inventory" points)

We have 4 kids, and since 2 of the contracts are already 150-pointers, I need to buy 2 more 100-point contracts

Hi Kansas,
We have only owned since the first of the year.

I like to stay in at least a 1 BR if we are alone. A 2 BR if we take family which is about everytime. I just booked 3 studios and a 2 BR for next September ,we are taking my wifes family. We try to go Jan., May and Sept. We got tired of traveling out of the country ,my wife loves WDW so I went nuts last winter buying resale. "You only live once,you can't take it with you" , yada yada yada,if you get my meaning.

Kansas: We bought the 45 point add-on because we decided we wanted to have a week in a 1 bdrm during choice season and we were 44 points short (we rounded it to 45 points).

As to that being the minimum size contract to sell well because of closing costs -- I have not really thought about it. But my sense is that 150 - 250 point contracts are the ideal size for future resales. Large enough to provide flexibility, spread the fixed portion of closing costs sufficiently and not so large as to close out a large portion of potential buyers. But Dean or others who have much more experience with the resale market would be better to comment.

We have owned since November, 2001. Our contracts total 460 points:

300 HH (two 150 point contracts bought from Disney)
160 OKW bought resale

We have two married daughters and might soon consider either an OKW, BCV, VWL or SSR add-on so that we have almost equal numbers of points to pass on

Amazingly I started with 190 points and thought that would be more than enough to meet my needs (single person). Boy was I wrong!
