I don't know the ins and outs of the postcards either. I have never gotten one. I am thinking that maybe if you don't go to Disney for a couple of years they will send one to try to get you back. Maybe that is what we have to do :confused3 . Of course, that isn't going to happen this year, we are going in June 2005 and in March 2006. I don't know when I can take a couple of years off to try out this theory.

Yeah..that's a good point. There were 4 years between our honeymoon and our 2nd trip to disney...but I wasnt' on the look out for codes..so I don't know if we got them.

What is worse, never getting an email or postcard, or getting one that you can't use? I have gotten 2 emails and 1 postcard...all for times that we couldn't take a trip. I have also received one within a couple of months of the previous trip. I'd love to get one for this summer, but I'm afraid I'll never see another offer again.

I know what you mean. I recently got 2 emails, and a postcard, and my Dad got a postcard, and we cannot go. Actually we are going to DLR to use our AP's before they expire. It would cost me about 2500.00 more to go to WDW!! I just cannot justify that!!
Now, FYI, the ONLY thing my Dad has EVER signed up for with Disney, is the Disney Visa!!! That is the absolute only way they could have gotten his name and address.... He has never even been to WDW!! :cool1:

Don't feel bad. I've never gotten a code either. I feel snubbed because like everyone else have spent thousands of dollars with Disney. I have the Disney Visa, subscribe to the magazine as well as the Disney Insider and Disney direct. Even had the Disney Club card when it was in effect. Not to mention four trips in the last six years. It's not fair. Sigh.

We went to WDW in June of last year and within a few months we had received two postcards. Of course we could not turn around and go back. Each one was addressed to a different child! Would like to get another one.

I also havent ever received anything and we have gone at least 10 times in the last 10 years..maybe more. We subscribe to Disney magazine and Disney Adventures..took a cruise, signed up at disney.com etc etc..and still nothing!

Its very frustrating

Well I was feeeling sorry for myself because I too have the Disney Visa, bought on-line, subscribe to everything and no post card - no e-mail, nothing....I feel your pain....

No Post Cards or E-Mail discounts for us either :confused3
But I think it would be worst at least for me getting one that I can't use..

Pixie dust for all of us ignored Disney Fanatics! I am jealous of the code/postcard recipients too. :wizard:

I agree...LOTS of pixie dust. I look forward to the mail every day in hopes a postcard will be there.

I received 2 postcards last week from Disney...one was for their timeshares and the other was for the cruiseline. I want one for WDW, but never get one!
:confused3

Never any postcards here for us either. Both DH and I have our own Disney Visa cards. Both are registered on Disneydirect.com. DH is a platium Best Guest member on Disneydirect.com (never pays shipping). Go to WDW for 5 trips a year (not local, so includes airfare and rental cars). Holding about 7-9 reservations a year. Participate in resort surveys that are received after most trips. I receive the email from DisneyVisa--inside Disney. Have received the advance AP email alerting to room discounts to be released.

I have posted this plenty of times. I never received a postcard or e-mail. My wife has the Disney card and uses it quite often. Last year I found the code on a different web-site and went at the end of April. In 2002 we went twice. The 1st time was in July DC and then DW, we were there for 2-1/2 weeks. Then a firend of mine received a postcard in the mail from Nov-Feb, they had no plans on ging so I used the code on the card and we went for Xmas and stayed at POR for $89 a nite. So please don't feel bad, like I said I have never received one.

Ok..I have a quick question..and you guys are probably going to think I'm nuts..but I'm just making sure I have my facts together....

The 50th celebration...is celebrating 50 years of DisneyLand right??? WDW is just participating too right? I'm happy to see we will be there during the celebration!!!

Yes all Disney theme parks will be celebrating DL's 50th birthday. If it wasn't for DL, the other parks probably wouldn't be here either. Each park (even overseas) have several new attractions and shows kicking off on that day. I've had my ressies since July 2004 and can't wait. Hoping for some great 50th birthday items to buy too.

I have gotten several postcards and three emails and have gotten to take advantage of them twice. I am soooooo hoping for one for my May trip. I am very sad to have to pay $239 for a standard room and I keep seeing all the great prices posted for woods and CY views!

I've never gotten one either.
I think somehow WDW and the internet know who the silent kids were in high school and continue to leave us out. :sad2:

We got one but didn't even know it. Called to make reservations for 10 nights since you can't do it on the website. She said how would you like to stay at a moderate resort for 79.00 a night!! I almost fell over since we already budgeted the 139 a night. The last time we went was in 1999.
