I was tired of these cold January dreary blahs. So, when I saw these at the local BJ's, I picked out the brightest and nicest and promptly put them in my basket. Now, I have some springtime cheeriness in my living room. Hope you enjoy them as much I do.

Oh, don't mind Samantha. She is just a little shy and is wondering about all these strangers peeking into her living room while she is trying to relax. LOL!

They're very lovely. I keep visiting my spring flower beds and hoping for growth spurts and blooms. I need some colorful cheer.

Thanks for sharing your cheer!!! I needed a burst of Natures Colors....:)

It looks like you bought yourself some very pretty Primroses (Primula), Tulirose. A great way to bring a touch of Spring into the house. :)

Oh they are beautiful! :) And you got them at BJs, eh? I didn't know they sold plants!!! I love how you have them displayed. It's very romantic (and cheery) looking. Samantha is a cutie!!!!

Ooooh, I like your coffee table too. Can you move the flowers around to different areas of your house and take pictures of them so I can see what the rest of the place looks like? I'm very nosy! ;)

HURRY UP SPRING!

Those are really pretty Tulirose and add some much needed colour to the grey winter.;)

Samantha is gorgeous and also seems to like the plants too!:p

:teeth: Thanks you all for your cheery comments. And the weather warmed up a bit today too. See, it worked!

Yes, Snowwark - It said Peseta Mix - Primula. It was a six-pack and one of them has two colors!

TigH -I don't think BJ's normally sell plants. Just on occasions and this occasion happened to be the right occasion for me to buy, buy, buy!

You made me laugh outloud TigH. If you are really that curious, you can check out this link which leads to my Cruise thread where I posted not one, not two, but THREE photos of my new dining room furniture. I was quite proud. I don't mind sharing. The pixs are in three separate posts, all towards the bottom of the page the the following link brings you to:
Welcome into Tulirose's Home

Sammi - Samantha blushed and said to say thank you very much for your kind comment!

Your furniture is beautiful!!!!! Did you get it recently? Is that a split leaf philodedron in the corner? I love how you have those plates on display.

Hmm, I think I will need the personal tour. When should I book my flight? ;) Of course I'll reciprocate.

Very nice runner down the center of the table as well. Was that new or did you have it already (before you got the new furniture).

I'm serious, Tuli, I would love to see more pictures of the rest of your house. Just keep the plants in them so we'll stay "on topic" here! ;)

I'm a bit embarassed, at first I thought you had purhcased a bunch of African Violets. I was like, "Yellow African Violets, GET OUT!" Then I realized they were something else, but I was thinking gloxinia, not primrose. I need to pay more attention!!!

Your new furniture really is lovely Tulirose. :) Thank you for letting us "snoop" around your house! :)

LOL! I was not sure if I should answer via a PM or on this thread and decided "what the hey! Snowwark's an easy moderator, she'll let us stray off topic for a bit". LOL!!! (WHAT! I beg your pardon! I did NOT just say that Snowwark was a pushover!) hehehe

In Response to TigH: Thank you. Yes, just got the furniture Friday, the 17th of January.

The plant is a Tree Philodendron that I have had for years and years and years. MIL gave it to me. I have no idea how long she had it prior to her giving it to me but she had it when I first met her son and that was in 1974!

I ran out and bought the runner at a local store the same day the furniture arrived (8 bucks!). I placed the pink flowers lying down it. These flowers are silk and look like they have drops of dew on it. DH said the table with the flowers and the runner looks like a coffin. (He's got a weird sense of humor). So then I put the vase with the live white flowers on it. I cannibalized the live flowers from a floral arrangement left at our church (yes, I really did). But, those flowers are now gone and to keep my husband from telling everyone how our table looks like a coffin with flowers lying on it, I put the silk flowers in the vase standing up.

I'll be in Florida in October. If you don't post some pictures of YOUR house by then, I will be stopping by for my personal tour. LOL :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

LOL Tulirose...yep, that's me...a pushover! :) What did you think I would do, leave you swinging on the garden gate? ;) :)

You're going to Disney in October, Tulirose? Hmmm...there's a small (very small), chance I may be going then also! What dates are you planning on being there?

See...I never go off topic! :p

Oh boy! Take over thread time!!! :teeth: Hey, wait, it's MY thread! LOL! :teeth:

Not actually going to DisneyWorld in October, Snowwark, but going on the Disney Magic, which is even better because we will be reuniting with DIS friends we met in person on our 9/22/01 cruise finally after *talking* with them via internet for 8 to 10 months prior to that cruise. Since that cruise, we even had two of them come visit us here in NY, one fellow from Ohio and then one wonderful lady with her son from North Carolina.

We will be leaving port on October 11th, 2003, and returning from the Western Carribean seven days later. Vacation time is limited and, as we have a wedding in Nebraska we will be attending in August, we cannot spend any time in the World. :(

We will be arriving on Thursday, October 10th and staying at the Radisson in Port Canaveral. We figure we will go to the Space Center on that day. After the cruise, we will start for home immediately. (We will have our own car as we are taking the autotrain to Florida but will probably drive the entire length back home).

Oh! and this time it is just hubby and me! I wonder how the house will look upon our return.... I'll have to take pictures and post them! Hahahaha! Seriously, WHY am I laughing about that. First time teenson will be home alone for an extended time frame..... see the grey hair popping out of my head already!?!

The cruise sounds like fun Tulirose! :)

Maybe teenson can do the Fall garden clean up while you're gone. Wouldn't that be nice? :)

ROFL! Too Funny. But ya know, I thought they were African Violets too when I first saw them in the store.....and that was in person!!

Snowwark - And pigs will fly in mid June! LOL!

TigH - Hope I didn't scare you away with threatening to knock on your door next October! LOL ! Love the photos of your neighborhood. Hey! We have the moderator's full consent here and can go off topic on this thread and talk about anything!! Let's talk about invading Snowwark's territory and knocking on her door one day! LOL! Or, we can dream about visiting DixieDee's beautiful garden at her house isolated in the middle of nowhere.

Actually, I think we should ressurect the idea of a traveling bus visiting all our different garden buds - Starting in New England, down the East coast of the U.S., visiting the southern states on our way to Florida, out to the mid west via Texas hospitality and then head north into Canadian territory. Wouldn't that just be grand! :teeth:
