I'm so sorry. My thoughts and prayers are with you. We lost our beautiful dachshund last July and just reading this has me crying all over again. The worst thing for me was that I had been at the vets with her all day and as soon as I left she passed. I wish I had been there.

If it makes you feel any better...Pip (my youngest/wildest ferret who was attached to the hip with Jewel, my oldest who passed last week) just bit me on the nose, which loosely translates to "Jewel is taking care of Koko on the other side of the bridge mommy, so tell that man not to worry" (I speak Ferretise, so I understand these things)

They are both going to be 11 this year and aren't in the best of health....I cried reading your story.
