I haven't been on here the past few days so I'm just now seeing this....lots of P & PD for your dad Ann!!! Wish I lived closer and I could do more to help-thinking about you!

Thank you guys.

We found a seat on the same plane my sister is taking home tomorrow for my Mom. She can't be left alone and it is too hard for my Dad to keep her occupied in the hospital.

My Dad will need gallbladder surgery, but it should be able to wait until he gets back to NY. His bilirubin are up. He needs those down before he can be released. We are hoping for Monday or Tuesday. And then he will fly to NY.

The truck and boat will be stored at BIL's house until they can come back and finish their trip.

Thank you all for the support so far. Still need more Pixie Dust to get him home for Christmas.

Just caught up on this for you and your family. At least they've identified what is wrong with your dad now and can treat it - it could have been much worse, th surgery is fairly straightforward (Dh's cousin had it) so hopefully he'll get better soon.

Family is a blessing, but such a worry sometimes too

AWM, just getting the update as I had a sick one and gone all day yesterday. Glad they were able to get mom and sister on the same flight.... Glad we have a diagnosis on dad and know what our next step is.. (Like I keep saying our like I have any say so... guess more so because we are all family so we all share family members)... Please keep us posted!

Thank you all so much.

His liver functions are normal now. He will be having surgery while he is NY. Not sure when though. He has an appointment with his normal doctor on Thursday.

He is due to be released today and will fly home with my BIL.

I am so glad he decided to go that area first instead of staying to the northern part of the state. It would have been so much more difficult with BIL there to take my Mom when we couldn't be there.

Ann, I am so sorry - I just saw this. First time that I have logged on in weeks. I've got major drama and medical issues going on in Ottawa (same stuff that I told you about in July - just 100% worse). I know excatly how you feel. Please know that I am thinking about you (always) and that I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. If you need *anything* you can always call or text (I sleep with my iPhone on the night stand)
