I need your opinons on the Donald Breakfast at AK please!

This restaurant seems to get mixed reviews. We plan on eating at Donald's on Thanksgiving morning and I've had my ps for quite some time now. Please vote and let me know if you enjoyed your meal, thought it was just okay or would not return again even if Mickey paid you! Thanks guys. I know I have to form my own opinion but I just want to get a "feel" for others experiences. Thanks again!

We love this place! In fact, my DH and I are taking a solo trip without the kids in a couple of weeks, and it is our first breakfast there, and the one and only characrter breakfast we are doing. When I asked my DH what places je wanted to go to eat at he said "I don't care, as long as we get to go to that Donald's one at Animal Kingdom" Well since he rarely has any oppinion about the plans I make for our trip ( he always says I plan every trip perfectly since finding these boards) I jumped on his one request and called at exactly 120 days t be sure we got it! We thought the food was really good, and the characters spent an adequate amount of time at our table.

We've eaten there twice and are scheduled for a third time in January. Besides basic breakfast buffet stuff, you can get a made to order omlette and krispy kreme donuts.

I'm a single, so I don't really care too much about the characters, but can't think of anything you'd want for breakfast that they don't have.

Their chocolate chip and blueberry pancakes are AWESOME!!

My answer isnt a choice. We thought the food was wonderful(we missed those CC and BB pancakes though). I would eat the food again, no problem. However, I wont be going back to Donalds anytime soon. It was way too stressful, our waiter shouted orders at us the whole time, and it was too structured. I much prefer Chef Mickeys where you eat at your leisure and you dont need an appointment for the characters.

I voted we'd never return. It was the worst character breakfast we ever had and we've done a several (the last 2 trips were done with the character breakfast package fall fantasy included every morning). Maybe it was a bad day but we had terrible food and terrible service. In fact, DH spoke to the manager on the way out about the entire breakfast. The manager was sympathetic and listened to us and then acknowledged they were having a bad day. We wouldn't return. There are many other placed we'd rather have a character breakfast at. Best of luck in your decision!

We did Donald's in August. We enjoyed it and would go back. None of the breakfast buffets would make me say "I love this- yummy". They are all, IMO, okay. It's a buffet...it's good for a buffet. Does that make sense? LOL! We've eaten breakfast at Chef Mickey's and DOnald's and enjoyed both very much...we have always had hot and fresh food, great service, and wonderful character interaction (even though it's just me and DH!).

Now...Spoodles for breakfast makes me say "I love this - yummy".

What structure? Sounds like you just had a bad server. We've never needed an appointment with a character at Donalds or any other character meal.

We've eaten there 2X and would return again. It is my 13 DS favoirte character meal. The food is very good (and this is from someone who doesn't care much for eggs and other typical breakfast foods). We had good service the 1st trip and wonderful service the second. The characters came around 2X this last trip, and were about to come aroudn the 3rd time as we were leaving. (the first trip we had the very last seating so only one trip around)

I've been 3 times, each time was different as far as CMs. One time waiter was into teasing the kids about skipping school, once we were just left to eat. The first time I went, I felt like the characters were good, then out come Goofy. I don't know where they found him, but he was the best Goofy I have ever seen. And of course, this is one place that Donald is very visable.

The food has always been good, I only wish they had the breakfast Lasagna that is served in the Crystal Palace. I was going to skip this in 2 weeks, but then I read that the characters are ready for the holiday, so I will be in line.

Just keep in mind, everyone has a different idea of what is good/bad/indifferent. IMHO, this is a very fun breakfast, for kids and us older kids, too.

We had a late PS (10:30) in October and loved it! Everything was hot & plentiful and it wasn't crowded at all. We had plenty of character interaction since there weren't that many people there.
