I need your help!!!

So DF and I are going to the happiest place on earth for our honeymoon. We want to take a day or two to just explore the parks. We are looking for help to find places that you wouldn't know about/hidden spots. So please let me know our secrets...we want to explore instead of ride rides. I can give an example I found out last night about the tequila place in Mexico. So with that give me what you got!!

congrats and have fun on your honeymoon. Try pulling the sword out of the stone in Fantasyland. sometimes it comes out. there's a nice walkway\shortcut from Tomorrow land to fantasyland.

I'm not quite sure what you're really looking for since the tequilia bar is both listed on the maps and in plain sight. That said, my husband and I love exploring the resorts and stopping to have a drink in some of the smaller bars or at the pools.

When DH & I went on our Honeymoon we spent the days at the parks but explored around dinnertime. We had a wonderful time exploring by eating dinner at a different resort each night because after dinner we would wander around and see what the different locations had to offer. For example, did you know the Animal Kingdom Lodge has a night vision goggle viewing and story time. I discovered the Electrical Water pageant is lovely to watch from the swing on the beach at the Polynesian. Wilderness campgrounds have a campfire & movies and then you can take a boat to the Magic Kingdom. We also fell in love with the piano bar at the Boardwalk and enjoyed the stroll over to EPCOT for fireworks then a meandering monorail ride back to the TTC to the bus to our hotel. Personally, I love exploring the resorts & the ways to get around. We haven't done it in years, it annoys the kids, but I love it.

Not exactly a secret, but something some may not think about doing and that is Horseback Riding. We did it a couple years ago and it was really something different to do. The stables are at Ft. Wilderness and the riding trail was so peaceful and pretty. You sort of lost site of the fact you were at Disney as it is all wooded and quiet.

It's been mentioned here before, but the Epcot Segway Tour was a blast! You start before the Park opens. We had so much fun.

We did this for our anniversary trip without the kids and LOVED it. Worth the cost.

We also loved dining in the evening at Narcoossee's and watching the fireworks from Magic Kingdom.

My favorite is walking World Showcase at night when the torches blaze and the stores are all lit up. One of my favorite things to do.

None a secret but we still had fun!

We had a blast exploring the little nooks and crannies and stores of the different countries in World Showcase.

There are lots of places you can buy a small dessert to share, or an authentic piece of candy, or a drink.

It's romantic to share, and it's "exotic" to try the different treats.

Animal Kingdom is a great place to relax and explore! Take the trail that is near the Tree of Life to get a closer look at the carvings. Explore the trails with the animals, and take your time enjoying the themed details of each area. Conservation Station has vet work scheduled on some mornings. You may get to observe a vet procedure. Talk to the cast members about the animals.

In The Seas with Nemo and Friends, go to the dolphin and/or manatee feedings. Spend some time on the upper level looking at the fish.

Take the trail that is near the Tree of Life to get a closer look at the carvings.

This is what I was going to suggest. We went one year at Easter and it was crowded and I needed a few minutes of quiet and wanted to look at the carvings. I think I only saw one other person while walking around there.

Back in June when we were waiting for our room to be ready at BC we walked over to the BW to look around. We found a real nice art gallery type place kind of tucked away near the large steps that go up into the main resort. Had some real interesting pieces and I have a pic of the kids with a large red shark that was outside. Would have loved to purchase something to have at home, but that was not going to happen!

Was kind of neat that when we left this place, out in the open grassy area right in front there was a wedding taking place. Got a close up of the glass carriage and horsemen.
