I Need Your Help On A Hotel Choice!!!! Long

Hi,
My aunt just gave me a certificate from "1 800 gift certificate" worth $1000. Now ususally she gives me another one that has amtrak on it (she mailed me the wrong one so that one is on it's way) and I use that whole $1,000 almost to pay for our auto train. This one she sent me has Universal Tickets, sea world tickets as well as some resturants ex: applebee, bennigans, chilis, TGI Friday's, Red Lobster and Ponderosa staekhouse, to name a few. But what kind of caught my eye was the hotels they have listed. I have never been to any of these and wanted to know if anyone has and how expensive they are.
Here's the list:
Courtyard by Marriott
Fairmont Inn
Hyatt hotels and resorts
Marriot hotels,resorts and suites
Renaissance hotels,resrts and suites
Residence Inn by Marriot
The Ritz-Carlton.

I was just going to stay at the Howard Johnsons Maingate East for the last 10 days of my trip but if this could pay for a hotel around that area that would be great. On the other hand, I'm sure buying Universal and sea world tickets and a couple of those resturant gift cerficates for our party of 6 would get very close to $1,000. (2 adults me and Db , my kids DD13 and 3 and DS10 and Db's son 4 )

how long are you actually staying? Your post says something about the last 10 days.

I'm staying 2 nights at nick hotel, 7 nights at the disneys all star music suites and the last 10 nights somewhere else, HoJo or one of those listed if I can get a good rate.

Trip advisor is where I go to find out about any non-disney hotels. They have so many reviews of everything, rankings, and also offer a price check for the competing agents. I think I stayed at Residence Inn one night, (before Onsite) but that was 12 years ago, it wasn't bad then, and you got a lot of space. Every time since then we've been on property. This is the first time we are trying off property again. Staying at a vacation home for 8 nights. 4br 3bth, plenty of space to move around. Enjoy your planning.

That one was fairmount inn, I missed the "u". But I tried going to Marriot.com after I put this post on and yeah they are pretty expensive. By the time I buy the universal and seaworld tix (3 adults and 3 kids each ), I just did the rough math.
From just the discounted prices from ticket mainia (which with these gift certifacates I'd pay full price anyway)
3 adult Universal 3 day tix-$107= $300+
3 kids Universal 3 day tix-$96.50= $300-
-------about $600 already------
3 adult sea world $59.50= $180-
3 kids sea world $51.00= $150+
--------about $330 -------

So I'll do that and just pay the $30 or $40 a night at Ho jo.

go to the universal board. They are having a special where you buy a 2 day adult ticket you get 3 days free, plus a free 5 day childs ticket, so you would save $300 right now, plus get 2 extra days free. Not sure if your gift cert would work for these, but if you only had to pay $300 for all of your tickets, you are already ahead. Also check the seaworld board, there are a couple of specials listed there that can save you 20% off your ticket price, plus you can use the next day free even with the discount tickets.

the best hotel deal maybe the springhills suites. They offer a really nice free breakfast buffet, plus you have a small kitchenette in your room to make some small meals that can really help you save.

Those are all great hotels, just not very budget friendly.
