I need your best appetizer reccipe!

At Easter, I made phyllo, brie and raspberry jelly wraps.

Cut several sheets of phyllo into squares. Place a small chunk of brie and a dollup of raspberry jelly onto it and roll it up with the sides tucked in. Before baking at 350 for about 15 minutes, or so, until they are golden, brush on some melted butter.

These are little bites of heaven.

I've had something very similar to these. They used frozen puffed pastry dough instead of phyllo dough, and they were mighty fine!

If I don't have the time to roll them myself, and I don't need the quantity that I can make myself, I've used the phyllo shells that you can buy. With these, you can add a little more brie and more jelly.

Smoked Salmon

2 oz. smoked salmon
1 tbs heavy cream
1/2 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 tsp fresh dill to taste
salt and pepper to taste

place smoked salmon in a blender or food processor, and blend until smooth. Mix in cream, creamy cheese, juice of half a lemon, dill and pepper. Blend to desired consistency.

Phillo Cups

In the freezer section the sell phillo cups; follow the directions on the package and bake in the oven.

Let the cups cool. Once they are cool, take the smoked salmon mousse and put into a small zip lock bag and pipe into the phillo cups. Garnish with fresh dill. This is a very easy appetizer which people are always blown away by!

Baguette - sliced 1/4" thick

Mix together:

1 cup of cheddar cheese
1 cup of mayo

12 drops of tabasco
6 oz. imitation crab meat
1/2 onion- finely diced

This recipe can be made the night before and stored in the refrigerator. Drop a spoon full of the mixture on the baguette slices and toast under the broiler until bubbly, approx. 8 min.

8 oz. cream cheese softened
4 oz. cheddar cheese, shredded (1 cup)

1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp white pepper
pich cayenne pepper

4 to 6 oz. mango chutney
1/2 cup minced green onions
1/2 cup finely chopped peanuts
1/2 cup grated coconut

Combine cheeses, sherry, Worcestershire, curry, grlic powder, white pepper, and cayenne in small bowl. Blend well. Line 2 cup bowl with plastic wrap, leaving a 4" overhang. Press cheese mixtue into bowl. Fold plastic overhang over top and cover with another piece of plastic wrap. Refrigerate at least 4 hours. (at this point can be frozen).

When ready to serve, unfold plastic wrap and invert onto a service plate. Spoon chutney over the top. Sprinkle with green onions, peanuts, and coconut. Serve chilled with crackers.

My favorite appetizer is Tastefully Simple's "Beer Bread".

I serve it with their Spinach & Herb Dip. YUM!!

I just ordered more yesterday. :dance3:

Here's another good one, I don't have the exact measurements, but it's kind of self explanatory.

Pesto Pinwheels. Take crescent roll dough (pillsbury) and roll it out. Spread with pesto sauce ( I like Classico brand) then sprinkle crumbled feta cheese on top. Roll it up and slice into about 1/2 - 1 inch sections. Bake for about 10 minutes.

They are really good!

Baked Brie-

Roll out a tube of croissant roll dough into one rectangular sheet (press triangles together). Place a wheel of brie (with rind) in the center of dough and wrap dough around it. Bake for 15 minutes at 350 (follow croissant roll dough baking directions). Serve with crackers! Yummy!

Brie and Cranberries:
Trim top off (holding horizontally) of wheel of brie and place in a dish that is just a bit larger than wheel. Spoon cranberry sauce over the top (I just mash up canned sauce, but I'm sure fresh is even better) and bake for 10 minutes until brie begins to melt. Serve hot with crackers or crusty bread!
**This is great because get the sweet/savory flavors mix perfectly!
