I am trying to loose weight and get healthy. Currently I do water areobics twice a week, have a trainer twice a week, and do pilates once a week - phew I am tired just typeing that!

Anyway the weight is still staying on and not going anywhere. I have noticed that I can track my body with measurements and that is working but I need to eat more.

That sounds so odd doesn't it. I tend to not eat very much, just not interested in food and it just never tastes that good. So I don't eat and now my body thinks that it is in famine mode and retains EVERYTHING

What I need are healthful snacks that I can get in during the day. Things that I can take on the run with the kids if need be. Please help me figure out how to add more to my diet without adding the cookies and chips.

Fruit, trail mix, low fat crackers with cheese, granola bars, fat free pudding cups, cut veggies (carrots, celery, broccoli)

i often pack baggies of veggies and/or pieces of fruit for in the car. I have gotten to where i don't even want to eat fast-food on the days when i'm running all day and i'll pack a sandwich to take with me. the light smoothie yogurts are good too. have you tried Pria bars? they are good, nutritionous and give me that taste of sweet that i so love :teeth:

here's some other off the cuff ideas:

light cheese stick
100 calorie packs
any kind of 'bar' found in the pharmacy - pria, etc
Kasha TLC granola bars
Lune tea cakes
portion controlled baggies of nuts - unsalted is best if you don't mind it

KUDOS to you for making positive healthy changes in your everyday!

Good for you trying to get it figure out. I'd also add almonds and I recently found a recipe for walnuts and dried cherries that sounded like a good take-with snack.

Not sure what to recommend on snacks, other than my philosophy is eat as many fruits and vegetables as possible- full of good stuff and they really won't make me gain weight.

On staying the same weight-DON'T give up! I lost a bit initially, then stayed at the same point for probably 9 months. Didn't lose a pound, didn't gain, but I was stuck. I kept doing what I was doing then one day-zip, the pounds started flying off. I have no idea why it was like that, but wow. Literally dropped 30 more pounds without changing what I'd been doing all along.

Thanks ladies!

I have started spark people and am trying to eat more. I have taken all your suggestions and have gone shopping. Now to eat! I am off to the gym - have a good day!
