Every year for the past 3 years I have made Christmas gifts with my dd (she is 6 now) for her to give to her teachers, grandparents, sitters, etc. Last year we made cookies in a jar, and the previous 2 years we made Christmas ornaments.

I have no idea what to make for this year. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

We love to make this recipe. You can buy some plain mugs at Michael's or a craft store and decorate them. Make the coffee mix, place in a baggie, put in the mug, maybe add peppermint sticks. Then you can wrap the whole thing in paper and tie with a ribbon. You can go as far with it as you would like.

I also have a very cute thing that was given to me. The coffee is in one of the small ziplock bags. A piece of cardstock has been stamped and decorated and folded over it. A piece of copper wire was shaped to make a handle. I know it's hard to visualize. I will take a picture of it sometime today and send it so you can see it. I was thinking these would make great gifts and be lots of fun to make.

I also have a really neat idea I received in an email the other day. I will see if I can get the picture to post here. It's hot chocolate in a cone shaped bag. It has marshmallows in the top of the bag and a really cute stamped tag.

When my sons were in Elem. school a big hit with the teachers were the picture frames I made. Plastic frames 4x6 or 5x7 are the best size to us (it could be the length or width) take a puzzle the is very colorful and glue the pieces around the frame twice over lapping on the second round. Then take buttons an ribbon in colors that match the puzzle (Michaels carry them in a package with different designes: holidays, dogs, herritage, sports, music, teacher, baby, girls, boys)
The last year my son was in elem school his teacher told me Oh Goody I'm getting a picture frame this year..................LOL

Last year I did the cookies in the jar and they were awsome. We may do soups this years.

One of the things my DS's liked to make for their teachers was bath salts. Buy a decorative jar with a lid. Fill the jar with epsom salts, then dump them out into a bowl (don't use plastic, it can retain the scent). Add a few drops of food coloring (not too much at a time, a little goes a long way) and mix thoroughly. If you want more color add more food coloring. Then we add a few drops of potpourri scent and mix that in. Put bath salts back into the jar, add a ribbon around the jar and that's all there is to it!::yes::

Thanks! I actually like all the ideas! I have started my list for coffee, picture frames and bath salts
