and no jokes about psychiatry!

We're working on bringing back the Universal site and I would like some input from you folks.

First, I'd like to see your best touring tips for both Islands and Universal. Also, I'd like to hear your comments (both good and bad) on Universal's resorts, and finally, any tips you have on restaurants and dining (what to hit and what to avoid like the plague). I'll be including your comments (along with your screen names) on the site...so please post any tips you have to offer.

I don't have a definitive time frame on when the site will go up. I've been working on it non-stop for the last week, and we have some holes to fill before I'll feel comfortable launching it. It will have a design similar to the DIS (different color scheme) and a new URL. I expect the site to be ready before Feb 1, but again, I'm staying away from hard dates here. The quicker I get feedback, the better :) Also, if you have any suggestions on areas/content you would like to see covered on the site, let me know that as well.

Thanks,
Pete

Hi, Pete:

I PMed you one of my suggestions about the hotels.

I know the experts on this board will bombard you with incredible suggestions. I have a few but I'll give the posters a chance to chime in first.

Thanks for the opportunity! :bounce: This is so cool!

I'm in for helping out.LOL Sent you a pm. Mostly about food and PBH.LOL My two favorite things. Yes, I do actually make to the parks. Oh if there's a PBH section don't forget the SPA it's wonderful and not to pricey.

should we post it here or PM Pete? Is it supposed to be a suggestion or a review?

You can post it here, or send it through PM, either one. I'd like both reviews and suggestions. Anything anyone has to offer would be great!

Thanks,
Pete

Universal Hotels as a seperate section on the site is a must! MUST!

Citywalk is another

Recent discounts would be another nice one

that's off the top of my head, go to it Pete.

You should include a section on "Overlooked things/Attractions at the Parks" such as if you stand on the brass plate in the Celestial design (on the ground) in front of DD and face the coasters you will see all 3 "near-misses" lined up perfectly in front of you.

For those of us that are a little dense, ok well just me anyway, is this going to be a completly different web site, or will it be under the disboards, only in an expanded info section about universal?

To expand on what Notatourist said, I know the different hotel discounts are a BIG and everchanging thing, and then there are the different pass specials etc. as they come up. The perks of having an AP would be good, as well as menus for the restaurants ;)
What about info about the VIP tours? I think there are a few here with info on that. Seems to me, Notatourist might have knowledge in that area
Attractions with single rider lines...intensity of the attractions for kids, chickens and such...height requirements...
Hands down, Mythos at IOA gets the most rave reviews around here...and while it has shortened hours (usually only lunch when the park is open until 6 or 7), it is considered by many to be a "must do". They offer very gourmet food (and fun food for the kids) at pretty reasonable prices.

Why future Ms. MIB99999(infinity) whatever do you mean (Evil Grin)....

And yes, information on the overlooked things would help too, IMO.

Get lots of pics of the INSIDE of the hotels. And discuss what the different rooms are like.
