ummm try "stravaganza:city of masks" its abou a boy with cancer who goes through a wormhole(for lack of a better word) and lands in an alternit Venis(sp) way back in time

The Wedding by Nicholas Sparks
It was amazing, it the sort of follow up to the Notebook. it has, Noah and mentions allie a lot, from the notebook. but its a completely different story, its truely a great book, and if you decide to read it my advice is, Do Not Skip to the end! it will ruin the entire book. all though now its probably tepmpting to skip, dont !

&& they are pretty big books but you will get into them and not stop reading them!!!
