I need some help planning my daughters first birthday party

Hi guys

My name is Jess..I am from Sydney Australia. I am trying to organise my ddaughters 1st birthday party and of course the theme will be disney...Mickey and Minnie...

As there is no mickey or minnie party favours or decorations avaliable in Australia i am going to be ordering it all from America.

i was aft5er any party ideas, games suggestions? DOes anyone have any mickeuy minnie photos from parties that they have had.

Also what stores wiould i be able to buy supplies online?

Any suggestions would be great!

I love themed birthday parties.

Pin the bows on Minnie ( you could make it yourself from Internet images) and use Velcro to make it safer.

For favors for other children.. Small photomats "signed" by Disney characters and take pics of the children and print them out at the party.

Play a game of find the hidden Mickeys.. Use images from the net.

A Mickey shaped cake using cupcakes to make the overall shape.

I am a former party planner and here are a few ideas I've incorporated into a Mickey Mouse party.

Hand out Mickey ears instead of party hats.

Serve cheese shaped like a mouse.

Play Mickey Mouse trivia game.

Play pin the ears on Mickey.

Also, there should be a lot of printable stuff online, so you wouldn't have to pay for shipping.

we did a mickey mouse clubhouse party for my DD a couple of years ago... Instead of traditional party favors, we did things that the O'Toodles had to help.... bubbles, a flashlight, magnifying glass... The kids loved them!

ETA - there is a great website out there that has all kinds of ideas for birthday parties... there are some really creative people out there, and I tend to pull different parts from each of the ideas and make them our own... it always turns out great...
