I need some help on DVC...

We are currently looking at DVC, but can't afford to finance through Disney. We are looking to purchase 50-60 pts, so we can make a mini trip each year. Until we can add some pts.

My wife loves BW, which we visited last year. Is OKW in the loop to BW, I thought I saw the lighthouse on the other side of the lagoon or was that a different resort? We walked BW and its just right for us. She runs etc...we are curious as to if OKW, SS, BW are all connected in the "loop"? Thanks

I believe the lighthouse you saw is Beach Club and Yacht Club resorts. BCV has a DVC resort. OKW is not on the lagoon by BWV. SSR is over next to DTD. Your choices for that lagoon area are BWV and BCV.

For the point total you are thinking of, you would look at resales. Other folks probably have a better idea of the current resale values. I think BWV would be easier and lower cost to find resale.

If she likes BW then thats where i would buy if I were you so you can book 11 months out.It is getting harder all the time to book at other resorts.

OKW I think has a lighthouse but it is nowhere close to BWV and BCV.

We love all of the resorts for diffrent reasons and we have stayed at BWv a few times and it is Great.

Yes, the lighthouse you saw across the lagoon is in front of the Beach Club and Yacht Club resorts. The Beach Club has villas that are also part of the DVC. We bought our BWV through the Timeshare store and everything went very smoothly. Small contracts (like those you are talking about) go quickly and are usually a little more expensive than the more standard 150 point contracts. I wouldn't be shocked to see them going for $5 or so more per point. But if you stick with it or tell someone at the Timeshare Store what you want, you won't have to wait too long.

As far as other DVC resorts being within running distance, I wouldn't think so but then my running days are long over! Disney World is a very big place.
