Hi all! A good friend of mine is getting married, and we are planning her bachelorette party for May 14th. We live just outside of Atlantic City, NJ - but don't go there very often. One of the casinos just opened "The Quarter" which is restaurants & clubs with a dress code. I was thinking that might be fun to club hop without having to get in and out of the car.

None of us are into the whole male revue type thing....so I guess clubs are our only other option?

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know! I'm not sure how many ladies will be going, but I'm estimating between 15 & 20.

Thanks!

What are the ages of the women going? I am the official "bachelorette party planner" for my group of friends.

There are a lot of factors...if you take a group of women to a club who have never been and don't enjoy them, it isn't going to be fun. If everyone is used to going to bed at 9pm, late nights can suck. Is everyone of age? Also, it helps to know the venue. If you guys are all 35, will you enjoy going to a nightclub where the median age of all the other patrons is 19? Conversely, if you are all 22, what if the place you go is a club that caters to retirees? Is anyone adversely opposed to drinking and cigarette smoke?

Best advice: Know your group, know your destination. That casino you are talking about sounds like a GREAT idea. It's nice to be able to walk from place to place. And since it's in the hotel/casino, if anyone poops out, their rooms are right there! Have a great time!!!

I'm planning my BF's bachelorette party and we're going to have a weekend event. The 2nd phase is going to be at Mohegan Sun. None of us are into the club scene so We're going to have a bunch of us rent a room, enjoy some gambling and the restaurants, and have a spa experience. We're chipping in so that Tara doesn't pay for hers.

Boy am I glad you posted! I hadn't thought about too much of that.

The bride is 31, and most of us in the bridal party are the same age (within a couple years). The moms aren't coming...we may do dinner or something with them first - and obviously the same goes for the bride's daughter who is 12.

I'd LOVE to just pamper the bride somehow...make her feel special (without having a bunch of greasy or drunk guys all over her b/c it's her bachelorette party). But if there are 15 of us, that is too many to go to a salon, or some type of relaxing event, right? I don't know...maybe I'm the boring one of the group!

Thanks again for giving me more to think of. The hard part is that the bride just moved to Maine and will be coming home the weekend of the party, so we're kind doing this without her help. We can talk to her about it, and we'll definitely get the guest list from her.

Whew....so much to think about....and I thought the shower was hard!

One of my married friends was not into the bar scene. So her sister planned a wonderful bachelorette party for her...

We all went to a vineyard here in Kentucky and had a wine tasting. It was hosted by one of the people who owned the place so they really guided us through the whole process.

Then we went to this little nearby inn and had a wonderful gourmet dinner outside...then we all went back to someone's house, and talked and laughed and drank more wine until the wee hours.

It was pretty tame, but really fun.

Hi!

I am planning my best friend's bachelorette party in AC right now. We are doing a spa weekend at the Seaview Marriott in Absecon. There is an Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa there, which is wonderful.

Just wanted to add this little suggestion. Let me know if you want more details.

Sounds like a great idea to me! I think we'd all get a kick out of that. Who needs the bar scene! I'd bet we could get a private room at a restaurant & possibly pick a limited menu & that way we can plan out the cost a little better.

Tracy-lyn I sent you a PM about the spa.

Thanks ladies!!! You've been VERY helpful!
