I want to have a nice kinda romantic dinner with my hubby when we go April 16. (And we have been to WDW 13 times and only ate at one nice restaurant and that was CORAL REEF!!!!!!) Anyway, my hubby is a very picky eater. He doesnt like much of anything.
He LOVES NEW YORK STRIP, FILET MIGNON, and baked potatoes.

Basically, he is a meat and potato kinda guy. His favorite restauants are Pizza Hut and the Outback---DOES THAT TELL YOU ANYTHING?? lol

So I am pretty flexible and will try anything, but I want to go somewhere quiet, cozy and that serves plain ol' steak and a tater for him!!!!

ANY SUGGESTIONS???? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :confused3 :sad2:

Are we married to the same man?

Le Cellier. They have steak and potatoes and it is wonderful.

Isnt it terrible sometimes to have such a picky eater??? It is so aggravating!
I would love to try new places alot, but I just cant get him to go!! :sad2:

How is the ambiance? Can you dress up casually??? I kinda wanna get "prettied" up and go to dinner....can you do that there? Nothing fancy, just pants, nice shirt, nice shoes.....?????

I would go to Yachtsman Steakhouse.

Le Cellier also has great steaks, the atmosphere is quiet, and darker lighting. Check out the menus on allearsnet site!

I would get a new husband :rotfl: or at least rent one for the trip

LOL!! Well, Im 32 now, married him when I was 18, and I kinda like em, BUT NOT HIS EATING REQUIREMENTS!! I reckon I will keep him around! Although....not a bad idea!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Heeheeeheee

Before every trip I need to study the menus so I know what he will eat where. There is so much I want to try that he just won't eat.

le cellier is in EPCOT, so you will see people in shorts and stuff. If you want to dress up and not pay for park admission, try Yachtmans

Do you have to get dressed up for Yachtsman? I was planning on going there with DH for our 2nd anniversary. But, we were planning on spending the day in Epcot, walking the bridge over the Yacthsman for dinner and then going on the Illuminations Cruise. But, I will have to change those plans if you have to be nicely dressed for Yachtsman. Hubby likes to wear shorts & t-shirts. Thanks for your help.

I'm another one here that has a picky meat and potato eater only husband!!! Last year we eat at The Councourse Steakhouse at the Contemporary Resort http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_cs.htm here is the menu. They were absolutely wonderful there...brought us exactly what we wanted and it was sooo tasty! We dressed up to eat here and it was very lovely!

Good luck with picking a place out!

Im pretty much similar to your DH...very picky and I only like plain food.
While we had a good meal at Le Cellier, we had an amzaing meal at Yachtsman Steakhouse. I had Caesar salad, prime rib, mashed potatos and creamed spinach. Everything was wonderful. They also give you bread with butter and garlic. They had me with the garlic. ;)
We also found it to be a little "nicer" and more romantic at YSH.

I'd go to all ears and check out the menus page, and see what looks like a good fit.
But for steak, can't go wrong with LeCellier or Concourse steakhouse. I think Concourse is a romantic setting.

Enjoy! Is he a steak sauce steak man (like my DH) or plain steak?!?! :rotfl:

Oh, he is even picky about that!! If the steak has a GREAT taste, he wont use sauce, but if it doesnt have a good taste, he is HEINZ 57 only...yuck!

For setting, go for Le Cellier or Yachtsman, or even better Cali Grill.

BamaTigger, first I'll offer you my sympathy with this picky dh!! Although it sounds like you are going to find some good options for him. Secondly, however, I have to :rotfl2: about the Heinz 57.

I am the opposite of your dh -- I am the least picky person in the world -- I am not a fan of liver -- but other than that, I will eat almost anything. However, I am originally from Pittsburgh and if you put a bottle of ketchup, relish, or steak sauce in front of me -- well, heaven HELP you if it doesn't say Heinz on it ! :rotfl2:

And if he likes simple fare and eats fish, I love the Fish and Chips (so did my DH) at the Rose and Crown in Epcot.
Just another idea if he gets tired of the red meat.

I looked at the menu from the Concourse Steakhouse at the Contempory ....
how is that place? What is the setting like?

My DH is most likely to dig that place cause it has some "plain jane" stuff
on there!!! Dang, this is sooooooooo frustrating!

If it's a special occasion, I think the Cali Grill is "magical" -- and I ate steak there last time and it was INCREDIBLE!

How about Shulas at the dolphin? My steak and potato loving husband saw the menu and really wants to try it. We have reservatioms for April 10th. I'd let you know how it was but we dont get back until the 17th
