I need help with a surprise poem!!

DH and I just booked our cruise for next year. We are surprising my parents and his mom with this trip. We want to give it to them on Christmas day. I want to write a poem about the surprise. We will be going to Disney World and on the cruise. We all have been through so much this year I can't even begin to explain. We have lost a lot of loved ones and have had so much happen that DH and I decided to surprise them with an awesome vacation. I would love if anyone had a poem or knew of one that I could print out to give to them on Christmas. I would like it to rhyme. I have everything else I want to put in the box for clues it is just the poem that is giving me some trouble. Thanks so much.

This is a poem that I wrote to surprise my in laws with our Disney trip last August (right before my oldest started kindergarten). It references my children (Courtney and Kendall) so you could take them out... or just use this as starting point...

References/hints in poem:
many adventures ... of winnie the pooh
extra hour of daylight.... EMH
boat ride.... jungle cruise/ DCL
fantasies... fantasyland
small worlds.... small world ride
tomorrow..... tomorrowland
celebrate.... this year's promotion
ears.. .mickey ears
etc.



Today will race past us
As you both know very well
Soon your grandchildren will grow up
Oh what stories they will tell!!!!

Tales of many adventures
To the river and the beach
With an extra hour of daylight
Always just out of reach.

There will be memories of family
Boat rides and more
And recalled fantasies
Of backyards and sandy shores.

After the laughter, tears and joy
And other issues in their small worlds
Courtney and Kendall will grow up---
Young ladies replacing little girls.

In the meantime we make the most
Of the moments that occur
And plan for tomorrow
Knowing today is a blur.

Grandparents are priceless
And family ties are, too
Which is why we want to celebrate
Something special with you.

The last week of August is the date
After which a new life chapter will begin--
So, we want to share something extraordinary
With you both… and the children!

So, perk up your Ears
And try to keep the tears from flowing
It’s the trip of a lifetime
And ALL OF US are going!

The magic never ends
Oh what sights you will see!

You can only be at Disney!

The poem is going to be part of the little things I put in the gift box for them. I am going to put it at the end of the box and pile little disney things on top. I want the poem to show how much I care and that even though we have been through so much this year it is time for us to have some enjoyment type of thing. I also want to give the little hints of what DH and I have planned. I hope I explained this good....hahaha I want to start the poem out with something like:

With all the pain we have gone through this year,
It is time for some excitement and cheer.

Then continue with the surprise. I know I am being very picky with this. I just can't seem to figure out how to find the words to write. I don't want to make it all sad either....haha I am creative with other things but writing a poem is not my specialty.

This is just something to start with.

" Twas the special family Christmas,
And all through the (or --------'s)house
No one was stirring
Because of the "Mouse!"
The stockings were packed in the cases with care,
So they didn't get lost in the ship or the air.
And I in my bathing suit ,and ------ in his "ears"
Had just said "bon voyage" and taken our dears, ???????
To a " Magical" place full of pixie dust and love,
Where we'll sail into the sunset glowing above!
So if you've not guessed it...it's cruisin' we'll go
On the ------ of-------(date),it's "ON WITH THE SHOW!"
We're on the Disney ________, for a ---day trip,
We'll all go together to check out the cool ship.
And it was heard far and wide,all over the news
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good cruise.
