I need help! (What to do, what to do!!!)

Presently have room only for the poly 9/28-10/4 but looking to change to AOA for free dining, which I've heard a small rumor that it may be coming out and if it did it starts 9-29. I'm not sure what to do. Even though FD isn't official, it seems from the 125+ page thread that's less than a week old that it IS going to happen. I don't want to miss the FD as it seems like it will be the best for us. Do I go ahead and adjust my ressie to AOA now and tell them I want a non-discounted rate and then when FD comes out convert to that? I have a rather substantial deposit down now and really don't want to mess with a refund, etc. Is there a way to do this without refund-rebook? Or do I just keep what I've got now until 8/01 and do everything then? Help me please DISers you're my only hope.

Did you get a big discount on your room at the Poly? AoA would be the last place that I would stay during FD. You would be paying the price of a Moderate and only have counter service dining.

If FD is official I would call early on the first day reservations were open and make the change then. The suites FD will not sellout that quickly.

Since you have a RO reservation now, you would have to cancel and rebook anyway to switch to FD. It's not as simple as just adding tickets/DDP to a RO reservation. Since RO and packages are different reservation systems, money paid toward one cannot be applied to the other, therefore, the need to cancel and rebook. Also, AoA would have to be available under the FD promo in order to get that discount as having a reservation already in place does not guarantee a discount can be applied. So even if you cancelled your Poly reservation and booked a package with AoA in anticipation of FD on Monday, there's no guarantee you would get FD as it might not be available for your resort. With that said, I would wait until Monday to see if AoA is available with FD. If it is, I'd book the package with FD and pay the $200 deposit, then have the RO reservation cancelled. Once you receive your refund on the RO, you can pay that toward the package. HTH .

And just wanted to say the Little Mermaid rooms are not included in the discount. Good luck!

LM rooms are always excluded from the FD. However if you do want to stay there, you could probably get a suite and pay the difference to upgrade to the basic dining plan. Or if you book a moderate the basic dining would be included.
