I need help quick! Anyone know how to get gum out of hair??!!!

My DD has gum stuck in her hair...she is so upset and I really don't want to have to cut it out. Does anybody have any tricks on how to get this mess out without resorting to scissors?!!

peanut butter. the oil makes the gum slide out. but you have to be patient and work it for awhile.

Im glad I opened this post!!! 3 step process....Peanut Butter over the gum (the oil will separated the gum) work it through with your fingers.....2nd step, dawn dish soap (takes the grease out of everything, including hair. Then wash as normal...Hope you get this in time!!

I've never tried it, but I hear freezing it with an ice cube helps. Anyone know if this is true?? Good luck!!

I've used ice on carpet or things that are hard to clean, but on hair, nothing beats peanut butter.

Can you tell I've had lots of experience with this?

Used ice cube and froze it with dd years ago.

A nice warm bath with lots & lots of warm water over her head and and then work and pull your fingers through her hair until it comes out. DD3 had gooze in her hair not too long aga and that worked for us.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!! The peanut butter worked like a charm. It took a while, but we got it all out. And this is hysterical....after finally getting the gum out of her hair, then getting the peanut butter all washed out, DD looks at me and asks 'now where's my gum?' LOL!! She wanted to finish chewing it!
