I need help if you are at WDW now......

We just got back from WDW on Dec 7. We came home to find out that our oldest daughter is getting married on Jan 17. They had to move up the wedding date because her fiancee is headed back to Afghanistan (for the third time). He is stationed in Hawaii and my daughter will be flying there Jan 9 to get the paperwork and arrangements made. Military equals paperwork.

She has always dreamed of a Disney wedding but that just isn't going to happen.

I would really love to get them the bride and groom pens that they have in the shops there. It doesn't make up for the lack of Disney wedding, but I know that it would be fun for them. If someone could pick up these items for me and mail them to me, I would be so very greatful!! I will gladly pay for the purchases and mail charges. If we had more notice and time I would have picked up other bride and groom items for them. The Army has been moveing up Brian's deployment date regularly, so their original wedding date had to be changed. We won't even be able to attend the wedding as planned.

I just want to have some things that will give them both a feeling of the Magic of Disney.

Pixie Dust to you all and please keep Brian and all the Service Men and Women in your prayers as they continue to serve our country! Brian will be on a one year deployment this time and maybe longer.

Congratulations on the big event!!!! How nice.

I wish I was there to get for you, Lynn, but maybe somebody else will see this. You might post this on the Theme Park board also, lots of people there who are real close to going soon.

Oh my. I read your post and although I am not at WDW so I can't really help you I just wanted to say that I'm sorry that things have worked out this way and that I hope your dd's wedding goes perfectly and that something works out so that you can attend. And that your new son in law has a safe, uneventful deployment to Afghanistan and comes home quickly and safely.

Do you know if they have those pens at the World of Disney at Downtown Disney? If so, I can pick some up for you.

Also, I remember them having the bridge/groom hats and a few other odds and ends there as well....

You can also email Disney at wdw.mailorder@disneyworld.com and ask for help. If you describe the items then they can send you an item number which will make it easier to order when you call. I recently ordered DH a Mission:Space jacket he had coveted during our last trip. I gave as much detail as possible and they were very helpful. I also got my order very quickly.

Oh, you should get the hats definitely! They're so cute. I've gotten them for a few friends of mine who are Disney fans. One who went to WDW for her honeymoon wore hers (and he wore his) after they changed clothes for their "going away" bit (whatever it's called). It was so cute. Good luck getting what you want.
