Next Tuesday, we are planning to do Future World EMH starting at 8 am. My favorite Aunt is going to drive up from Vero to have lunch with us.

Where should I try to make reservations that would be doable after a morning in Epcot? We are staying at Shades of Green and will not have a car. Auntie will not have park media for that day, so I need a non-park restaurant.

Should we go out the International Gateway and eat somewhere out there, or ride the monorail back towards our resort?

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Jack

Kona has a nice lunch and is an easy monorail ride from Epcot.

Out the 'back door' of Epcot will lead you to lunch at Beaches and Cream or Captain's Grille, both of which we enjoy - the tough choice is: better food selection, or better ice cream selection? :rotfl:

If y'all plan to head back into Epcot after lunch, I would recommend one of those. Save yourselves all of the travelling.

As the pp mentioned, Kona has a lovely lunch, as does the Grand Floridian, both of which are on the monorail line in the vicinity of your resort. Kona of course has kind of an island/asian flair, and Grand Floridian Cafe has salads and sandwiches and the famous lobster-topped Angus burger.

If y'all are heading 'home' after lunch, then one of these would make a good choice.

You can make an ADR for Captain's Grille, but B&C is first come first serve.

Kona was one of our favorite meals last trip, so I second the recommendation for Kona.

I made an ADR at Kona, but was wondering if anyone had ever eaten at that Brewery restaurant at the Boardwalk?

You will be a short boat ride from any of the Crescent Lake resorts - Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach Club, and Swan and Dolphin. I'd look at the dining options at each and find the best fit for your Aunt. I'd recommend particuarly looking at the Swan and Dolphin as they have good variety and may provide you better flexibility as they are not part of the Disney ADR system and don't get overbooked by people not intending to show up.
