I need help finding a sit and stand stroller!! PLease?

I have been trying to locate where in Ontario I can get a sit and stand stroller or even an attachment for my 5 year old daughter in case she gets tired of walking on our trip. I don't want to buy a tandem or double stroller because they are to big and bulky but if that is all I can find then it will have to do. Can anyone tell me where to get a sit and stand or a tandem stroller that can accomodate a 23 month old and a 5 year old? My ds weighs about 25 and my dd weighs about 45, any suggestions? I don't want to spend an arm and a leg. I saw a lot of them on Ebay but it will cost about $100 to just ship it to Canada, so I won't spend that much.
I hope someone can help, I need it!! lol!

Look at renting strollers down there. They have ones for 2 kids.

The sit and stand is an OK stroller but I really like my buggy board. I bought it through safety super store. I attaches to the back of your regular stroller and is like a skate board. It is easily detachable and fits in my basket. Best thing I ever bought.

There are two different types based on weather or not your stroller has a rear axle.

When my dd was born I bought this for my 3 year old. Works great and very versatile. DD is now 4 and ds is 8 and we will still use it at Disney World.

We were in the exact same boat as you for our last trip but didn't want to pay the outrageous shipping prices to Canada. If you're staying at a Disney resort we found an easy way around it.
We bought a sit 'n stand one off eBay and had it shipped to the Swan where we were staying. Just give the seller the address of your resort, your name and arrival date and the resort will hold it for you at no charge.
It was waiting there when we checked in and now we have it for our next trip.
You cant buy the sit 'n stand strollers from stores here in Canada so I find this is the next best thing.

Last year when we were travelling to WDW I too was looking at Sit and Stand Strollers. I did find one at Sears (not sure the model or who made it though!! ... can't remember that far back ). It seemed ok, but I didn't like the process of folding it down, plus I worried it wouldn't comfortably fit my oldest who was four at the time. You can always check there though if that is what you would like. This year when we travelled I took my youngest (2.5yrs) in her stroller and we rented a single stroller for my oldest (just turned 5yrs). It was nice to have them separate, plus the stroller at WDW has a sun cover, whereas the sit and stand doesn't have anything for either (the one at Sears anyways). Plus I wanted to be able to recline a stroller for my youngest so she could nap if she wanted to. The stroller was just over 200 I believe.

We have just used a Maclaren Volo and Lascal BuggyBoard for an almost 5 yrs old and a 6.5 yrs old. It worked great for us because the single is only 8 lbs and have a carrying strap and the BuggyBoard is about 2-3 lbs.

I can't imagin travelling with something as big and heavy as the Sit 'n Stand. Double stroller that I would consider travelling with is something like a Maclaren double which is side-by-side and about 23 lbs. But they are relatively pricey.

Have you considered the Peg Perego Pliko (older version) or the P3 (current version) that has a standing toddler step? There should be a lot of these gently used ones sold in Canada.

A word of caution for the Buggy Board attachment. All strollers have weight limits - Maclaren strollers are the only ones rated for 55 lbs., almost all other ones are 40-45lbs; therefore, you put a baby in the seat and a 5 year old child on the Buggy Board and you are most assuredly over the weight restrictions for that stroller. Your kids weight 70lbs, combined, which is too heavy for one stroller. I'm sure the fact that the Buggy Board says it holds up to 65lbs will confuse people, but this is only talking about how much weight the Buggy Board can hold, and NOT the actual stroller.

I'm not sure how Health Canada would allow this type of attachment to be used when it doesn't seem to be very safe at all. Its sole purpose is to have toddlers or children stand on it while another baby is in the stroller, but this means that parents better know the weight restrictions for their strollers or there are going to be serious safety issues with the stroller.

Good luck in your stroller search - as someone mentioned, a double stroller, or the Sit and Stand or Peg strollers that are specifically made for this purpose (they can carry the extra weight in the back as they are made for this purpose, but they too have weight restrictions) are your best bet as add-on attachments made by other companies are usually never a good idea. The price of this attachment alone is outrageous as you can get a new Maclaren stroller for that price that will hold a single child of up to 55lbs!

The Babies R us near us carries them now... I don't know if you have a BRU in Canada or not... I have to agree that Ebay is your best bet!
