We'll be at WDW from 11/17-11/25 (that's the Fri after Thanksgiving).

So far we have ADRs for:
Arrival day: Dinner at Chef Mickeys
11/18: Family Magic Tour (I think I'll cancel, see below); CRT for lunch
11/19: another MK day before the crowds come in
11/20: sandcastle club for the kids--adult evening suggestions welcome!
11/23: Breakfastosaurus
11/25; Departure day  Cape May Cafe Breakfast (we're at BCV)

I Do have that ADR for the Family Magic Tour, but it's on our first (full) day and I'm thinking that as much as my troop (DH, DD7, DD4) would enjoy that tour, they Won't enjoy it on the first day because they are going to want to ride what they want to ride and dash where they want to dash, not be told they have to wait until after lunch! I will try to get a ressie for the FMT one of the other days, but I doubt it. . .

What would you guys suggest? I really want to do something Special. . .something: "geez, Mom, that was really cool" surprise like, but I'm at a loss. The pirate cruises didn't work out on the days we could do them either. . .

Am I missing a cool thing? I know I could be. . .how I would have even known about what I know about without these boards and the UOG, I don't know.

Sure, I could wait until next year and be more on top of it with the ADRs, but if you have any secrets or suggestions, I'd sure appreciate it. Gotta keep up that "wow, Mom" status, you know!

I like a lot of the stuff that you have picked out to do so far. I have done Chef Mickey's Breakfast but not their dinner. I will say if it is anything like the breakfast, you should love it. I also have done Cape May's breakfast and out of the character meals that I have done it is the worst. The food was stale and the characters didn't come around much if any. If possible, you might want to do the lunch in the Land at the rotating restaurant on the top floor. (I'm sorry but I can't remember the name of the place.) We went there a few years ago and everything was great - the characters, the food, and the service. Otherwise, you may want to do something like go to DisneyQuest (if that is your thing) or go to the AMC movie theater at DTD (very nice). Go catch a comedy show. Go to one of the nicer restaurants in the area. Maybe get away from Disney and head over to CityWalk and go to Emeril's. (It's not cheap but the food is very good.) You are in Central Florida where at anytime of day or night, you could do 10,000 differnet things. The only other places you can do that is New York, San Francisco, and Las Vegas.

Hope some of that helps. Enjoy!
